    Many equally beautiful waterfalls in Savage Gulf and a lot of hiking. A very unique area!

    Window Cliffs State Natural Area wasn't open at the time this video was made, but it's opened since and is AMAZING. There's a 20-foot Window Cliff Falls there.

    Thank you for the views, likes, subscriptions, and kind words, but most especially the suggestions of other falls to visit! Since we live in California, and only get to TN every few years, we obviously have a lot more exploring to do. For those wondering where these falls are located, the guide book I used has been in the text below the video, and of course, there is always Google. ;)

    Great video, but have you been to Fall Creek Falls? I think it definitely deserves to be on the list! There are actually 3 waterfalls in the same park.

    Ozone Falls. Right off the road, you can walk behind it, and it was in The Jungle Book too!

    Still House Hollow Falls. Just north of Summertown TN on US Hwy 43 south. It’s a really nice hike with views from above the falls and rite up to the base of the falls. It is a state natural area and can be found by the sing on the side of the Hwy.

    Great job with the Tennessee water falls. I am a huge fan of hiking to a water fall. Yes, a waterfall is cool to see, no matter how you get there, but there is really something about a waterfall that is a good hike to get to. I just subscribed, thumbs up, etc. I hope to see many, many waterfalls next year as I v-logg and thru hike the A.T. I will check out more of your videos!

    Burgess Falls is located on the Putnam/White County line, 6 mi south of Cookeville, TN; travel on toward Sparta TN for Lost Creek Falls. Circle back toward Cookeville about 15 mi North is Cummins Falls. Burgess Falls had 250K visitors in 2018, it's spectacular and easy hike...TN has MANY more not featured but it's a great video.

    We are newly transplanted to Tennessee from California. Really enjoyed your video. What would put it over the top is if you would’ve inserted a quick map of where in Tennessee these falls are located. Especially since were clueless where anything is here yet.

    Nice video! Have You’ve been to Transylvania county or the Highlands To Cashiers area in western NC? NC,SC,TN,GA are very close to me. Gorgeous State Park is pretty great that’s in South Carolina but if you go from Franklin North Carolina to Highlands North Carolina on a twisty mountain this road you get to see some really cool waterfalls and there’s one that you can walk under that is enormous I think he would like that maybe I’ll go out and take some videos myself

    I recently went to Burgess falls and it was awesome but the overlook of middle falls was closed so it's hard to get the full view especially the far side of it. Also if you see this comment I'd love to know how you got to the bottom of the big falls because I had no idea how to get down there.

    • @travelingpassion9985
      @travelingpassion9985  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for asking, Seth. Ozone was very nice, and probably would have come in 5th or 6th right beside Upper Piney Falls, but in my videos it looked all too similar to it. I wanted to have a diversity of different styles of waterfall represented. Virgin falls looks amazing! We haven't had time to get to this one yet.... I'm sure on our next visit to Tennessee, we'll have to revise the video.

      Virgin Falls is by far, our favorite!! It is located near Sparta, in the Virgin Falls Pocket Wilderness area. About an eight mile round daytrip, which includes five waterfalls and a cave! Virgin Falls comes out of a cave, and if the water is low you can explore the cave. The water there is potable and refreshing. The falls drop 100 feet from a cave and disappear into a cave at the bottom. An awesome sight to behold!

      virgin falls is by far my number one.... its just too beautiful not to go see for yourself... first you have big laurel which is a decent waterfall but it goes into a sink hole and a cave system then... a few miles down the trail (all hiking cannot access it from any means of transportation) you then come across virgin falls which is where big laurel comes out at the cave... you can go ontop of both big laurel and virgin falls and if you know what you are doing and are careful you can get up into a little overlook cliff inside the top of virgin falls and look out through the water... which you can also go onto the very top of the falls aswell (not accessed the same way though) lol but regardless it is very very beautiful... me and a buddy of mine even explored the cave systems a long time ago back when they were open to visitors (ive heard they closed the cave systems now im sure you could still go into the caves but i guess dont get caught now lol idk if they actually closed them off or not though i know it was something to do with the bats) anyway we made it back to ALMOST id say laurel falls through the cave system below... that would be my guess only because there was no exit on that side unless you wanted to do alot of climbing but batteries starting to die and not having rope with us we just turned back around lol regardless though... absolute magical place to go visit and explore i kind of want to go back now but im no longer in Tennessee at this moment lol

    • @JunkMailBoxStuff
      @JunkMailBoxStuff 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ozone Falls had old tires, a shopping cart, and other trash tossed in it the last time I visited. Very disgusting someone would do that to such a beautiful place.
      The little smuggler's cave covers along the trail down to it were very cool.

    "apparently kayakers ride over these falls witch is insane!" Yes we do and that was an easy one lol every time I see a waterfall I'm looking to see if it possible to run. It's half the reason I'm watching this video. I guess most people see it like you do but I get a kick out over how dumbfounded you are. If you want to see some action go back to twin falls when the dam is releasing. Some nice surfing waves form right at the base of twin falls and great falls just above is runnable. Or serch rock island kayaking. It's a popular spot in the paddling circles.
