The HS2 rotors fitting snug in the shimano calipers makes the lever feel sooo much better
Loud hubs are good out in the bush. The wildlife will hear you coming and the chances of you surprising a big hairy creature is lessened.

looking forward to a SR Suntour video. A lot of cheaper to mid range bikes come with SR Suntour suspension and to be honest the ones I had were pretty bad.. but they clearly also make the high end stuff

Hey Nick. Love your videos. Just wanted to ask you a quick question. My buddies and I are doing a Bucketlist trip to Whistler bike park from California arriving on 9/3. After we had booked everything we found out that is the last day to have any lift access from the Whistler village. My question is if we take the creekside lift up and ride down the Fitz zone what is the pedal like to get back to the creekside lift? I hear it’s a 4.8km pedal and haven’t heard if they will have a shuttle service of any kind. Any info would be appreciated.
I don’t know of any shuttles and it is a good pedal back to creekside, i wouldn’t want to do that pedal too many times in a day.

I'm guessing riding 29" wheels is easier for steep downhill? I started riding 27.5" wheels for the first time recently and I'm impressed. Curious to see how 29" would go...
I do fine 29 generally better for most trails. I still really like 27.5 when jumping or being playful

Maybe I missed it but did you cover the size of the bike, in comparison to your previous bikes? I know in general sizing down in mtb is you preference but this bike seems super small. Love the build btw and hope you have a blast riding.
It’s a large. The uninterrupted seat tube makes it look smaller than it is

Large. Long stem let’s me run my bars high and keep the reach long
492mm reach with a 50mm stem offt, thats a long bike
@@ab_mtb 50mm isn't too long. The bike has a short headtube so by the time you run a few spacers it's like 480 or less. You can see how far his bars are rolled forward to get the effective stack up even higher, could probably run a 60mm and higher rise bars like 40mm. Unless he just likes the feeling of a lot of up sweep/low back sweep for the descents

Another big and local Knolly 167 rider here. Would love to compare notes. 220 / 203 rotors + WR1’s + Delium Rugged on my end. Solid setup. Lots of bite and love the ‘maintenance’ less carbon wheels.
Would take a good quality alloy frame over carbon all day, everyday!

You’d have to confirm with nobl, but I think the 41s are a bit more compliant - which people generally prefer!
Why did you stop at the titanium stem? Those black cranks are such an eyesore they would look so sweet if they were Ti as well! It’s only money! What a sweet looking bike! I like purple too although I like all the colors so I go with Oil Slick, but has lots of purple!

I would love to know how much it weight…. And can you feel the weight on the long climbs? Considering to swap my carbon frame (14,8kg),for a aluminium one(I guess around 16,5kg) …. And get more aggressive geo (transition sentinel).

My XL Chilcotin GX Factory build weighs in at 16.4KG (36LBS). Unless you're a smaller rider and climbing all day, I don't think it the weight difference would be all that noticeable. Suspension kinematics and peddling position will make a bigger difference IMO.

Sentinel is super nice. Chilcotin turns better. Rear suspension is more progressive if you are into that. Personally, I prefer the feel of aluminum. Don´t like my bikes to be so rigid. Cushcore dampens the chatter and it feels sooo good.

Love Knolly, will not support 157 super boost. Hopefully with sram going all in 148 via the transmission, 157 won’t be around much longer.
Sram transmission is compatible with super boost. XD freehubs are all the same size the difference is just distanse between hub flanges! Evil and pivot are superboost and have transmission example!

OK you kind of missed the boat on that, the electric shifting thing. When I bought mine about two years ago when they first came out I bought an XO, which was $900, now it’s 1250. The xx one was the same price which is now 1500. And finally the GX was down as low as 600, and I don’t know what its price is now. And you didn’t need UDH back on the old style it just hung from a regular hanger. I don’t see the huge benefit in the “Transmission” but there must be something. Oh yeah and finally again curious on the weight?
