depends on the dress. they're already marked down and they get an extra 25% off. if you're looking for a pnina, you could easily make the cost of the flight back on the savings (plus that's the only way you're getting a pnina anyway).

@Heather Wolmarans if you were listening not only was there a bride from Australia, but a bride from Egypt. They said they have these sales 4Xs a year maybe they have a friend in NY who called to let them know about the sale.
I bought my wedding dress recently off the 50% Clearance rack at Davids Bridal and paid $250 for it and I absolutely LOVE it.. It actually made me cry on how gorgeous I felt..

Me too! I think that’s actually a fun way to help the sales consultants get through the day and have an incentive. And it might be hard to sell but not truly ugly since they wouldn’t sell a horrible dress like it’s right for someone.

I got my wedding dress on sale too! It was on clearance at a small shop for $599! And get this! After my mom and I left the salon, I went through my Pinterest board for my wedding and it was one of the dresses I had pinned months ago and didn’t realize it until after the fact!! 😳😳😳

One of my friends bought a dress that was originally $18k down to $986! You can easily find a dress for cheap and it still looks gorgeous. 😊
All that dog of the day needed was to be made into a mini dress. It would have really popped as a mini for a beach wedding or reception dress.

It was 15 years ago and Romania is a cheap country with sweatshop labor.

I feel like a lot of brides who come to these blowout sales should rein in their expectations and relationships with reality. Regardless of the sale, you do not go to Kleinfelds with the intention of getting a deal. There are millions of stores that sell wedding gowns, but brides have it stuck in their minds that if they don't get it at Kleinfelds, the gowns are subpar. Please ladies, open your eyes. Don't fall for the YT hoopla that aims to dictate your wedding budget.

To go to New York from Australia for a dress- well it's not really a discount when you add in the travel costs. Lots of nice dresses in Australia, even if the stores aren't famous

The idea of the sale is for you to find a sample dress not a fit sometimes that’s within 1 to 2 sizes of what you are and can you take it to a Taylor and basically for them to reconstruct it in the size that you need either with putting extra fabric buttons do a corset put extra wine you know and basically in a quart washer in a little bit basically batteries no sales are so cheap now but what time you actually put it for your size knew half the time
Imagine being the designer of "The dog of the day"..... They don't have to like it but no need to sling insults either.

Shopping for bridal dress? Prudent to wear proper under garments, slimmers, strapless bra, etc.
You intend to wear with the dress. Shoes too. And if you going to wear your hear up, pin it up so you can see what you will look like with the veil.

Most of Kleinfeld's sample dresses are a Size 10 which supposedly translates to a street size 6. I've always heard that wedding gowns are made smaller for some reason but my daughter's wedding gowns (both Sottero-Midgley) were the same size as their street size. Kleinfeld's also carries sample sizes in sizes 18-32. Maybe the more expensive designer gowns run smaller.
