You don’t need to buy it. There’s clearly a difference regarding FPS. A an expert saw it in person and said it’s an improvement. Gaming is a luxury hobby and this is a luxury item. You’re getting entry level PC (maybe better) for £700. It’s not overpriced but it is expensive.
It’s fine if you’re a casual gamer and don’t understand what the pro is doing. But some people do understand and also understand your not gonna pick up on the differences from your phone or tv. Not unless you’re playing the game yourself and you have a screen or tv capable.
What these online reviewers don't seem to understand is that it's not just the minor incremental improvements in graphics and Fidelity, but mainly the price. The price does not justify these minor negligible graphical improvements. And let's not even get into the lack of any kind of bargain in terms of peripherals for the device. No stand, no disk drive, and last but not least, no new games. Gamers don't care about minor graphical improvements when the package is impractical.
The literal point of the pro is not necessarily to deliver better visuals. It's to maintain (and in some cases slightly surpass) the visual quality of fidelity modes but offer that at 60fps. That's a big deal in the console space, how do you overlook that and just jump to complaining about price when an equivalent pc build costs way more??
For those forgetting, TH-cam compresses video footage making it look not as good as when seen in person. Playing games on your Pro on your 4K TV set will be a much different experience than just seeing it on TH-cam.
@@AM-wi6zo there is a difference in the games that that they tried well for. TLOU 2 was much sharper textures and no frame drop. GOW quality mode was so much crisper, could see kratos beard details also and performance mode hit above 50 fps consistently for me.

Unfortunately I'm not seeing this "generational leap in the fidelity of lighting". The other comparisons looks the same as PS5 Fidelity mode with smoother framerate, but issues like pop-in remain.
Bunchs dumb people in the comments. Couple problems -youtube is capped at 60 fps -you need the right monitor, hdmi cable and correct settings enabled. Then you will see a difference especially in movement. 60 htz is too scratchy for my eyes at high resolutions like 1440 and 4k

What game? If it's FF7 Rebirth, it does look bad in all modes. On performance it's very blurry and on Fidelity the frame rate makes it unbearable.

If you were happy with console framerates then you might not feel the framerate bump is worth it
But bumps in the framerate are no guarantee though. It depends on if the devs can make it work with the base PS5 CPU.
