    I’ve been shooting for 30 years and it was good to get another opinion on what’s best and consistent. Cheers buddy

    Absolutely brilliant, as a new shooter this video was superb and easy to follow. Many thanks!

    my 3 Air Arms S500 XS series guns were giving me fits cleaning barrels (they are shrouded) and my pull throughs would catch on something the first 3/4 of the way or last 3/4 of the way and hang up, depending on how i inserted the pull through - finally found it easier to just unscrew the shroud CCW to gain more direct access to the barrel. Amazing bit of cleaning crap was left in that odd space of the shroud which also explained some POI changes.

    Hi Matthew, great video, as a new shooter this video has put my mind to rest, I know how to do it now, so I do appreciate the time you put into your show and it does help new shooters...So thanks for the advice.. Catch you on your next video.. Oh I meant to say I bought some Benchrest targets from Benchrest shooting supplies, I got the 200 × 2 mm targets, that will keep me busy.. 😃😃✌️👌👍

    Thank you so much for doing this video! It’s the little things that matter most , I wouldn’t have known three patches for .22, you’ve saved me time and money!

    Thats just about EXACTLY what I do .. even down to the penny pinching turn round of the patch on the second pull through ... Excellent stuff .. subbed

    Thank you for that, Matthew. I did just wonder why you attached the moderator before firing the cleaning pellets through. Is there not a chance that the pellets might get caught on the baffles? Presumably, that has never been a problem for you. I thoroughly enjoy your videos. Very many thanks.

      The cleaning pellets go supersonic as they are so light and make one hell of a crack. The silencer helps. Also I dismantle and clean my silencers and they are un damaged. I’ve shot 100s of felts through that one.

      @AirAbility Thank you, Matthew. I now know why folk at the Range nearly jumped out of their skins when I first sent a cleaning pellet through my Daystate Alpha Wolf without the moderator on!! Lesson learned.

    Evening Matt, where do you get the brass string to do the pull through? Do you have a link? I can only see 'bore snake' sort of products where the material itself cleans the barrel. I like the idea of threading from the breech rather than down then end of the barrel which I have to do with my Napier pull through kit....

    When the patch is so tight that it sqeeks is it hard on the pellet probe breach oring ?I turn my gun upside down then no dirt gets inside the tranfer port

    I know it’s off topic but could you answer a couple of questions. With pellets, when weighing what sort of tolerance do you allow and how tight do you want your pellet in the barrel, loose, snug, tight? I know there is no one absolute answer but in your opinion.

      Not being rude this is the last 1% stuff that gives you the edge. But saying that it’s all down to the gun and barrel. I have had guns that would shoot the worst pellet very well and other that will only shoot one type of pellet. It’s down to hours of trial and error - sorry :-)

    Would you recommend doing the same on a new air rifle out of the box before putting any pellets through it?

    Nice Vids, how many shots count approx, before cleaning the barrel? Tks b4

    • @airabilityuk
      @airabilityuk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Few thousand but use 2 felts every time.

    Great video thanks. Is this technique suitable for an HW57 where i will have to cock it to get the breech to open? Also could it harm a sprinter to fire something as light a a cleaning pellet through it?

    So after each shooting session you shoot 2 of these soft pellets then put your gun in its case?
