    The 18 gsx250r is my first motorcycle and I have 0 regrets on it. Sure its no 600 but for what it is. Which is a starter bike. Its been nothing but great. Gives you enough power to really learn the basics. Maintenance is fun and easy. Easy to mod and tweak. People hate on the bike but I love it.

    I just came across this video. I'm turning 70 in September and looking for something small to ride. I'm 5' 10 and weigh 155. Would I be able to sit fairly upright? I don't want to crouch. I'm not an interstate rider, just the twisties and in town. What do you think? A winner, or should I keep looking. I've had cruisers all my life. I've NEVER ridden a sportbike. I'm well past the need for speed!

    • @1RaceLifestyle
      @1RaceLifestyle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Jeff, the bike doesn't sit as upright as a naked bike or cruiser. It also is not as aggressively leaned over as a larger CC sporbike. I ride mine everywhere but around town and back roads is where this bike lives. I would definitely recommend test riding one to feel it out. Be safe!

    Have you done the valve clearences for service yet? Was there anything to adjust? My service manual says it needs to be done every 5000km (3000 miles), but i think i will only do it every 10000km as i find the 5000km period too short...

    • @1RaceLifestyle
      @1RaceLifestyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was thinking the same. The valves i will be reaching out to some techs regarding. I will post the info here since I'm in the window of time to get em checked. Thanks for watching and stay tuned!

    How do you disconnect the batteries during winter and how do you charge it at home?

    • @1RaceLifestyle
      @1RaceLifestyle  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I keep it on a battery tender, but to disconnect the battery, you have to remove the seat. If you take off the passenger seat there is an allen key. Use that to unscrew the 2 screws holding on the main seat and then the battery is right beneath.

    • @1RaceLifestyle
      @1RaceLifestyle  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not really sure I've never tried. I do know the brake lever is. As far as the clip ons you may have to buy an aftermarket set. Thanks for watching.

    From Denmark,
    Hey there,
    I see that here in Denmark they have a single GSXR 250r for sale, model 2018.
    I think it's super cool and pretty.
    But I just think that 180kg sounds like a lot.
    Or you don't feel all those kg., it weighs the same as a 1000cc.
    -------
    I was a little too quick to write, I can hear that you give the answer to the weight a little later in the video.

      No worries, the bike is quite heavy, but you do get used to it. It's not the quickest thing, but it's still pretty fun to ride. Thanks for watching!

    Great video, I’m curious about the front brakes? All the reviews I’ve seen complain about the brakes. Claiming they have no bite. Any truth to that?

    • @1RaceLifestyle
      @1RaceLifestyle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you are used to brembos or just overall bigger sport bike brakes then you can notice the difference. With that being said I've had no issues with the brakes. You have to consider what demographicthis bike is pushed towards. For beginner riders having super sensitive brakes would be more harmful than good but the front brakes on this bike do stop it it with no issues. Its also not hard to lock the front brakes, its just not as easy as a bigger CC bike where you need that quick stopping power. In regards to the rears, they are pretty much useless. I would prefer if they didn't have ABS on the rear. Overall I've had not one issue with the fronts even after hard all day riding. I never came to situation where I felt like I wasn't going to stop in time even in those "Oh Shit" moments🤣🤣. Thanks for watching!

    DO NOT BUY THIS MOTORCYCLE!
    I have a 2018. This afternoon, I was on a short ride. I came to a stop, went to put the kickstand down, missed, and the Bike fell over on its left side. The Gearshift Lever got Bent-ALONG With the Shift Shaft that goes through the transmission. Due to Manufactiurer's "Safety" features, Bike will now not start. Upon working the shift lever with my hand, I can HEAR the broken part rattling inside the transmission housing. At $198.00 Per Hour at our local Motorcycle Shop, DO THE MATH! If this is ALL IT TAKES to wreck this Motorcycle it is a huge DO-NOT-BUY! I am OUT $4000.00!!!
