I love my x star premium, but to Ken Foss, do you have issues with your x star batteries in cold weather? Of my 5 x star batteries 4 have died. I am an experienced drone pilot, my phantom 4 pro, advanced and mavic 2 pro batteries don't have these issues. I really like autel and we shall see how the evo batteries perform in the upcoming cold weather. Would like to have a foldable backup to my mavic.
Richard, my issue is NOT with battery life admitting that it is next to impossible to purchase new X-Star Premium batteries. I don't cycle my 2 batteries as you do. My issue is NFZ/GEO FENCING with DJI quads. Clearly, this is an issue with me. Rarely is it mentioned in any of these videos by DJI advocates. When you own 80 % of the drone market you can manipulate the market in your favor with "home boys". Sorry guys I call them the way I see them. You are preaching to the choir. Besides you want to have an audience (80% of the market).
It's kinda sad. I hope they do get better marketing teams. I think it's better than Mavic in every way except low light. And if you can save money for a couple more batteries, this drone is better all the way. But nobody knows it.
@@hayteren Yea, they do need a better marketing team. Even on their site, they need to update, update and update. They would get more people on their side if they would just advertise and get new videos out.
Evo in daylight is better than the M2P anyway! If you put the same amount of post processing into both, the Evo video will look better. The M2P takes better photos though.

Grear review , yes the 4k really helps when the evo makes fast turns or yawing, it doesn't studder, like the mavic, but is smooth like the phantom 4 pro , which has 4k 60fps also.
Hi People I am in the UK England and have been flying the Autel Evo for over 3 months now and I am so pleased with the performance of the Drone its now my go to Drone, I have the DJI P4S and I have to admit that its not been out of the Carry bag now for 2 of the three months that the EVO has been in my ownership, I have also got myself third Party Insurance and also reregistered with a Safe Fly company in the UK for both my drones, I have found that the batteries do not like being stored in my car over night as this does cause them to perform lower performances, Regards TJK UK.

I have thus drone its awesome and gets better with each firmware update, have udated to the lastest beta firmware it fixed most of the issues , but they still have more great udates to come.

I followed the evolution of autel for quite some time - and its still just insane that they are the only ones making a drone that is acutally VISIBLE in the sky - too bad its not available here in europe
I purchased the Autel Evo Rugged Bundle, and couldn’t be happier. I am not an Autel or DJI “Fanboy”, because I own the Mavic 2 Pro as well! In all the video I have shot with both drones so far, I prefer the Evo’s. The Mavic 2 Pro has nice video as well, but I really don’t think DJI is using all of the 1” sensor that the Hasselblad camera has. I was expecting the Hasselblad camera to “blow out” the Evo camera, but in my opinion, it simply does not! Two more notes: I prefer Autel’s controller, and I am getting better range than the Mavic 2 Pro. The Mavic controller has this ridiculous little “sliding plastic tray” on the left side of the controller, apparently to guide in the lightning connector. It does not work well, and my connector is constantly coming out-bad design. As much as I like both of these drones, I prefer the Evo.
Nice review but bro you gotta find time for color grading. Even just adjusting the basic correction settings in Premiere Pro will improve your footage substantially, ESPECIALLY when it's wide 4K drone shots
Great video you have me thinking now. Was going to get a Mavic Air upgrading from the Spark. I agree with that price point is decent. Any thoughts on the Evo vs the Mavic Air?
I haven't heard about this company before. I'm impressed by the quality of this drone. Its design looks like Mavic Pro very much. So I wonder which one is copied other?
Who really cares which one looks like the other. Horses of a different color are still a horse. There is just so much you can do in designing a folding quad.
One think that lacks in most reviews of camera drones is the video of tilt pan. On most DJI and other brands, this is very jittery and a tendency to create artefacts.
Awesome review! About 2 months ago I took the leap and bought the EVO. Thought about the Mavic 2 series but the number of great features this EVO has that are not on either of the M2 drones is really amazing. The side by side comparisons of EVO vs M2 Pro video are very close to my eye and I don’t care for cartoonish color of the default video on the DJI unit. There are several reviewers that are saying that the M2Pro camera is not producing the same quality images as the Phantom 4 Pro with the 1 inch sensor? I wish someone would PLEASE do a comparison of the EVO video/ photos and the M2 Zoom! I can’t find one anywhere. Thanks for the excellent review.
I really was seriously looking at one of these but the deal breaker is that they do not have a supplier in Australia. If I bought one and needed support or warranty I might have been in trouble. Aside from the zoom on the Mavic 2, what are your thoughts on this compared to Mavic 2 Zoom?
I think the footage looks great and most EVO owners would probably agree ! I’m getting closer to pulling the trigger on this one, I’m watching a 3 battery combo for just over $1,000 that seems too good to pass on.
I find the colours in the shots you show somewhat blue-ish and washed out. Is that what you see on your pc as well? Ever had problems with the horizon not being level?

Certainly the EVO is a great drone, but the way you reviewed it only talking about the good things and not addressing any "cons" felt like you had to avoid things because Autel is sponsoring the video. Remember that "authentic" youtubers have to respond to their public, not to the companies of the reviewed products. The viewers and the follow base are the ones that will bring you more sponsors and will keep your credibility intact. Best regards and keep the good work!
Lol go to their website and try and find a dealer outside of North America. None at all in UK or Europe. The store locator says my nearest store is 2266 miles away in Canada. Not nearly a global player.

In comparison, the Mavic Pro 2 has a 1" sensor (*yellow) which compared DSLR/like camera is actually pretty small. The Mavic 2 Zoom has a tiny 1/2.3" (*orange). I agree !! I have this drone it’s a great one. Autels Marketing though, definitely not up to par.
They need better marketing if they want to take on DJI. Very impressive drone actually!

EVO with two extra batteries is 1170 vs 1250 for the Mavic 2 zoom. The batteries for the Mavic 2 went from $119 to $139. I’m going with the EVO!

Never been a fan of Autel. I only trust DJI for drones.

That's a good question, I'd probably have to see side by side footage for comparison. I'll keep it in mind for a possible future video

From a price perspective the Evo does offer decent value for the money with the features that it offers!

I unfortunately don't have the Zoom so I can't compare.. I like its cheaper price tag tho

3 axis gimbal. The roll axis is there, just inside the square camera piece. When you turn it on you can see the actual camera sensor rotating inside

no available on amazon UK, grabbed an Anafi instead (you can correct is exposure issue with an ND8 filter - or manually adjust the EV)
What's the sensor size? Even their web specs don't disclose this. I assume it's not 1" or they'd mention it.
