14:38 I love how in the true ending it shows Strohl's mindset more closely matches Louis' when it comes to stopping the cycle of injustice (He'll say something to the effect of "I can accept you hate injustice. Maybe we do share that. But why go to such extremes?"). The protagonist and his drive to change the future his way snaps him out of this. In this bad ending there are no guard rails from the protagonist so Strohl just gives in to Louis' plan. Junah, knowing fully well how Strohl is, is just shocked that he gave up without questioning the authority. Even the bad ending for this game is so good!
spoiler alert (though i suppose everyone's visiting this video is already braced themselves for this) . . . . . . . yeah, and thinking about it, strohl and louis' backstory are also very much similar. strohl with halia and louis with the ancient sanctum. their hometown was razed to the ground, leaving themselves with anger and regret. its just that strohl met the protagonist and, in turn, strengthen his virtue, meanwhile louis just chose to be a menace to the entire unjust world.
In P3, P4, P5 there's at least one chance to betray your friends and join the main antagonist, but it's always at the back of your party, so you never really have to face the consequences of stabbing them in the back. Metaphor is different, it had the perfect chance to do something unique, it had the perfect scene for an expectacular scene. Picture this: you accept Louis' offer and join him, but instead of your teammates just giving up, they stand their ground against you and then a secret boss fight begins. You with Louis giving you stat boosts and extra turns, against your party. It doesn't have to be a difficult boss fight. In fact, it would be better if it was easy, because it would highlight the sheer hopeless of the situation. In every turn, instead of giving you tips, Gallica is screaming, pleading you to please come back to your senses and stop. And with every teammate you down, the others cry at you. Sad, confused, angry and even afraid, complete desperate to wake up from the nightmare they're trapped in, just before the man they thought would be their saviour strikes them down. That would've been a very cool moment, probably a highlight of the game. I really hope Atlus does something like that in a future game.

The one with the Protagonist joining Louis is extremely disturbing. Why? Because the final text says “Fantasy is Ruined” instead of the usual “Dead”. Why is it so disturbing? Because instead of you simply falling short despite trying, you purposely played a hand in corrupting the fantasy you had.
Taking the action of what you fear is how to give rise to the fear, but to release fear permanently requires the choice to actually feel the feeling of fear itself, which for many people is too uncomfortable of a choice and hence why addiction has become such a sort after thing in our world, because everyone wants to avoid such uncomfortable feelings like fear, anger, grief etc. It was bugging me this game didn't make mention of that but it is new information. No mention of God or the use of conscience either in this game, but they definitely hit home on some big points about how insane religion is, how divided our nations are because of wanting power, which is born from the fear of not being able to survive
The bad endings kinda reminded me of the quote "It's true that this world is shitty, but if we do nothing about it then it's going to be hell for those who live in it"
Finally beat the game here to watch all the other endings... After watching, I lowkey didn't even expect bad ending 1 to exist. For bad ending 2, "fantasy is ruined" has gotta be the one that hits the hardest though.
Even that would’ve been preferrable to the mess we got instead. Having to scramble around for crystals they don’t even tell you will make the fight easier then making one of the most obnoxious final bosses.
@@pansyconvoy if you don’t destroy the crystals that host other bosses, he can put you down to 1 turn and himself up to 12. It literally becomes unwinnable without storyteller difficulty.
@@WhoDaF0ok1sThatGuy Never found out about the crystals, just read it now. I just struggled against the final boss thinking it was the final challenge of the game with an insane difficulty wall. It took me almost 10 hours of retries, a lot of luck and min-maxxing all my abilities and items to defeat him. It IS possible but it takes an unreasonable amount of skill and luck. I kinda wanted to complain about the game having an insane difficulty spike at the end, but now I find out you can actually lower the difficulty by doing something else in the game that they never told me. My fault for rushing to the end at the very end because I was hyped and wanted to end it all.

After she says anyone has power to change the world and that the children proved as such, she then talks about how he slew dragons and what more proof is there of being able to accomplish the impossible. And then later once everyone is all together again at the capital, they talk about slaying the dragons, and when he's in the gauntlet runner again Neuras talks about the dragons.
I do think it’s kind of disappointing that the ending with more doesn’t have some kind of cut scene like Maruki’s reality. Because I’m wondering he says your friends will be fine so does that mean that he’ll be more Japanese person? Is this how persona six is created?
What about when More asks you again to stay? And you can say "You're Right. Change isn't possible."? I'm assuming it's the same bad ending as choosing the first time to stay?
Very cool game, i finished it today and i enjoyed it to the last second. It made me rage quit a couple of times but i loved it, Atlus came up with a new banger ngl.
@@deanmalto The dragon trials were actual pain, without a guide it's very hard beat them on your own since there are things you don't know about. Like they can one shot your entire party if you don't use a certain buff to protect yourself, i didn't knew that until i searched on the internet how to avoid it because it was just impossible to deal with it.

After you beat Archdemon Louis, there’s a bunch of cutscenes of your friends fighting off hordes of Humans to get you to the gauntlet runner and face Louis. He tries to turn you into a Human again, but the protagonist tears out his heart instead (while they’re all shadowy).
Anyone know what the archetype that the Prince used against the final boss is called? The one in the cutscene? I'm tempted to call it the King Archetype if you ask me.

Ren from P5 felt very blunt and not very interesting at all, P5R is also a more extended/DLC version that added more to the story so it's not really fair to compare it with this game that has nothing like that.

They are the good endings. Accepting that world is Evil and rotten and IT CANT CONTINUE, and Accepting it is all Fake in the first place and that the Truth is important. FFS The "True End' Is literally the Infinite Tsukiyomi and the Bad End of Persona 5 mixed together.

Great video, but it's "kinda" missing an ending. One where you do the trials against the dragons. It gives a lot more dialog in the true ending.
Atlus understands gamers. Sometimes, we just want to be a badass prince who kills the world's fiercest dragons with our friends.
