- Today I Unboxed my new NY0040 from Jomashop and review a new custom Jubilee bracelet from Long Island Watch.

I have the Jubilee style and Oyster style bracelets from LIW. They are both great, but my favorite is the Jubilee! It really takes the NY0040/84/85/86 to a whole new level!

I have several Long Island Watch bracelets. Absolutely incredible bracelets, the engineering and quality is exceptional. Love them!
I did the same thing, bought a “Pepsi” promaster on Jomashop, grabbed the “jubilee” bracelet, and voila! Love what Marc does at Long Island, and as a fan of Citizen I’m glad to have the Promaster instead of same old skx.

Nice, I had ordered a Jubilee for my black and green diver but it didn't fit the look in my opinion. So now I have a pepsi coming in tomorrow for the Jubilee

I just bought a 50e last night on ebay, with the metal bracelet. Can't wait to get it.
I have a Citizen BNO 150 that came on that horrible, uncomfortable rubber/polyurethane strap.
Wore it for a month and decided it must be changed.
I ordered the BRAC 35 ( oyster ) bracelet from Long Island Watch and boom!! Perfect fit, brushing and comfortable.
It really dresses up the watch and opens it up to be worn on semi formal occasions as well as any day at the pool,beach or lake.
I'm loving it.
I’ve been waiting for a proper look at this jubilee bracelet for ages! You just convinced me to get it for my NY0085. They’re sold out on the LIW website at the moment, but I hope they come back in stock soon-preferably with an improved clasp.

For my birthday this past year, I received the NY. For Christmas, I received the Challenge/Barnacle/Fujitsubo.
Even though the Challenge has the better specs, I love both equally.
One of my German Shepherds is named Seiko because I am such a Seiko fan. But both of my Citizen Automatic Divers are every bit the watch that my Seikos are. (And perhaps even a little better).

I bought a promaster (full lume) based on your recomendation and went to long island watches to buy the jubilee bracelet but they've been sold out of this bracelet for a few weeks now. Waiting for them to restock and I'm purchasing one for sure.
I’m planning to swap out the Miltat on my full lume with the Long Island one as well and of course he’s sold out. That’s definitely going to look great!

I've got the lume dial + oyster style liw bracelet
I love the classic NY0040. I returned the Fujitsubo because i prefer the flat crystal of the NY. Better legibility and less reflections. Regarding the bracelet, the Citizen has the diver extension on the fly, which is great for when the wrist swell in the heat. I heard the Long Island bracelet requires thinner spring bars. if the spring bar ends are much smaller the original they may grind down the lug holes. In any case, I personally prefer the look to an oyster to a jubilee bracelet.
I believe Marc made an oyster style for it as well, although no divers extension

I don’t remember, it’s been 4 so months since I did the switch. I haven’t noticed the end links ever moving in the slightest though
@@stefpixThe spring bars that came with the rubber strap did fit but I used the Long Island spring bars and it’s tight with no movement.

I know this is a nice bracelet but on my NY0086 I still am sporting my stock bracelet and I’m actually really liking it . I love the diver extension system on it and it’s comfortable.
I still have 2 stock bracelets, definitely good to have especially for resale.
I love a jubilee, but I just don’t think it works for the NY. It’s too toolish for a jubilee. I want it to work, but to my eyes it’s not as good looking on a jubilee compared to an SKX on a jubilee. The NY is better looking on a rubber strap or Oyster.
I agree with this. The NY has lots of fine elements due to a busy dial design and 'spiky' look to the bezel edges. A jubilee is busy too and altogether there's too much going on. An oyster bracelet offsets this and calms it down.
I've got an LIW oyster on the black and a jubilee on the Pepsi and they both look great.
So you took my advice to get the bracelet from Longislandwatch! A shout-out would have been nice, but its ok.

Even though I own the '40 and a skx013 I think part of Seiko 's success is the design - simpler, less 'fussy' than the Citizen e.g. the date/day are clearer, handset, indices & the '12' is less debated.
I prefer the Citizen as the skx013 is too bulbous for me.
Also , the moding availability of th skx.
The SKX is legendary and it’s definitely one of the hard to argue against it. I pick at the movement a lot but that’s part of its charm now.
I got mine from Joma too I think the bezel triangle can tell if you are getting the old or new one as the older one has a pointy triangle while the new one got no pointy angle

i have the ny0086 (pepsi) on the long island jubilee as well. it never leaves my wrist because its just perfect. considering getting a black dial or full lume and putting it on the long island oyster bracelet, just to have a second option. but that would be crazy right?
Any chance you could put it with the Lume dial version?
As soon as I can get one I’ll put it on my full lume !!

It has screwed links and comes with a screw driver so it’s super easy. Try to remove links evenly from each side to keep the clasp in the center of your wrist when closed.
Those aftermarket bracelets are not that great. They certainly aren’t worth the money being charged. They are shorter than the stock citizen bracelets and only have three micro adjust holes, that make them fit about as well as the original. Also, they feel cheap. The clasps don’t always work that well and the screws for the links are easily damaged. I’ve had a few of these different aftermarket bracelets from LIW and they never live up to the hype. Luckily the islander watches don’t feel this way and definitely live up to the hype.

I have the aqualand bn2038. The lug spacing looks like 22mm. I emailed long Island watched and they said they dont have a jubilee bracelet that would work. What is your opinion? Because I would like to get one
