Worse, they can knock you down and sunder your armour, once they do that you are in trouble. They are much better than Sand Reaper Queen in PVP. Greater Sabretooth is also great in PVP. They make you bleed and can hit with a load. Advantage of Greater Sabres, they can tank.
I personally say the greater hyena, at least mine is the best. I started playing not to long ago and the first animal I tamed was the greater hyena, and I left my game on while I went to dinner like a dumbass. THE HYENA IS THE ONLY THING THAT SURVIVED MY PURGE, but you’d be a fool to assume it would end there. The third time my base got raided, it survived getting hit by a fucking trebuchet, so I take it with me everywhere’s now, I trust nothing more than the weirdass dog that took a bolder to the face

Something recently changed. I had a greater shaleback running with me for months. MFing unstoppable! Until this last update. He’s been nerfed. He was killed (started full health) by a 1 skull wolf. Badly.

My Greater Jaguar was able to face tank the Kinscourge whilst I attack it from behind. Ended up with about 1/3 hp remaining from full, even with me clipping it on occasion with a 2Handed sword. It later pretty much solo'd the Witch Queen I was checking if knocking her out still worked for fun, when I stopped it had taken her down to less than half hp. It did a similar thing to the Barrow king as the kinscourge but losing less hp.
Can you make an updated version? I’ve been unable to find ANY updated info on pets, and I’ve noticed my greater wolf only has 1200 or 1400 or so at lvl 0 instead of the 8k claims
It's kinda exceedingly hard to make an updated version unfortunatly... each pet (and each sub species of pet) has different starting modifiers at level 0, and different percentages that they are "likely" to get when they level up. And then there's perks to consider. Due to the now inherent randomness of the system you can have a level 20 sand reaper queen lose to a giant croc because all it's points and perks went into survival rather than anything actually useful (speaking from experience) but you can also get a wolf to level 20 and have it be a nigh unstoppable juggernaut because all it's points went into health and strength. Generally all the general stuff is the same as it was (i.e; lvl-0 wolf vs lvl-0 sand reaper, point goes to sand reaper) but the finished product is all a matter of luck. Ya kinda just need to grit your teeth and deal with Crom laughing at you while you fight the RNG gods for a good pet (and it seems like you get screwed more often than not)

But You underrestimated the Hyennas advantage of beeing tiny. For most of the Mini-Bosses in the unnamed City use 2h weapon and/or they are much taller than the hyenna, so they strike above and hit just sometimes, what makes them very good. Also for gigantic dungeonbosses or even dragons are the hyenna to short. Watch-out for the tiny things! ;-)
I have validity questions. 1) Why change the mob difficulty in the middle of a round? The pet should fight a number of the same creature until it dies, then switch mobs and test again. 2) Is this a single test or an average of multiple tests. The larger the sample size the more accurate the results. 3) Is there an update with new pets coming. I am interested in the concept of this video and would like to see a more thorough investigation. I'd like to see how some of the lower animals stack up, for those of us who just have tigers and rhinos. Speaking of which--Greater Rhino didn't even make the list? Wow.
The rhino is more of a defensive pet that you'd only need for PVP. Taking a rhino with you for offensive stuff is kinda difficult because it's attacks are way too slow that usually by the time it can start doing some damage, you've already killed all the local animals or humans.

On the other hand, Rhinos do tend to throw opponents, which not only takes them out of the battle for a little bit, but is freakin' *hilarious.*

The evaluation of the white wolf is not accurate enough Humanoid enemy has a shorter attack range The white wolf's attack retreat mode just avoids the enemy's counterattack If it is an enemy other than human appearance White wolf will have no advantage You may wish to try the beast enemy
I loved my greater hyena on my learning run but tbh i wouldn't put it top 10 cause they are so bug prone. If they get interrupted mid leap their AI freezes in their attack stance and they so nothing, can still tank but not attack. Only fix i found was leaving snd rejoining a game but after 3 breaks in 15mins i just b-lined to the panthers, less tanky but dependable ai.
Early game, no brainers go for pet as they carry a lot and dont require gear, thrills are better end game as more like named thrills have 5k hff health and you can give the epic/legion armor and weapons and they are powerful
@@Superhyperkillerduck It's damage gets out-preformed by the greater panther/jaguar so that should give you an idea of how bleak the greater lions damage out put is. But it's helth and armor are greater than the greater panthers/jaguars so they're not that bad. Ultimately their worse than a white tiger still.
Yeah me too... I think greater jaguar or panther is the best for crowd... that's what I use since it seems to me that they are the most agile and fastest pets out there. Idk their animations seems more fluid. I could be wrong tho, that's only from my personal observation.

Most of your top ten here weren't so great against the many citizens of New Asagarth. Also, in your latest new weapon showcasing episode, one of the weapons (a pair of daggers, the name of which I can't remember) had 0 armor pen but still dealt decent damage to the test dummy (who appeared to be wearing armor). I understand that the daggers inflict poison damage, but there is no way poison alone is THAT effective, right? Since The Unnamed City is a main end game content, I assumed that willl be great to do a tests on this specific bosses. And other thralls are not tough enough (I mean health pool) for test also! Multiple enemies fights are not included because there will be a much more random situations. That will affect the score. About venom-infused wepons! Well they had beed buffed sugnificantly So there will be a video series about them Here is so stats: 10 Poison stacks do a 63 damage per second 20 Bleed stacks do a 89 damage per second So actually poison is a good extra damage.
Where in this range are Gorillas and Lions? I am not sure if Gorillas (Yetis) where already here when this Video came out. My favorite pets specially for beginning are Hyena and Shaleback easy to get and easy to get the high version of it. In late game its for me the Reaper Queen and still Hyena and Shaleback and for the looks its the Undead Monstrosity. But i wouldnt have guessed that the boar is in this list and even better then a bear. Nice to know. I also like the Rocknose but they dont seem to be of any use only for the fact to generate Gold and Silver.
To be honest, I was thinking about making an updated video about the pets, because there have been quite a few new pets since then. But after checking the stats scales, I'm not sure that this list will change drastically.
@@blaynegreiner9365 idk know about greater lions their damahge output is worse than a greater panther/jaguar and they dont sunder after their lunge attack either. Their health and armor/flexiblity is great though.
It's strangely aggravating to see a wolf outperform a saber tooth or greater bear like that. They just aren't really strong predators on their own in general, unlike the aforementioned. I love my greater bear, amazing tank for pve.
Its weird to me, that despite the bear being such a prevalent symbol in conan lore (crom theoretically takes the form of a bear, and many tribes follow the religion of “the great bear”) the bear is a complete pushover in this game.
Me GWolf is almost always under %50 health but hits like a truck. Sidenote, was demonspider not out when this was made or somehow the invulnerable prick didnt make the list?
@@javiertorresghersi5562 The Reaper Queen? Well, you have to go to Ignatius the Greedy and buy a Sand Reaper Egg from him. Then it is random what appears based on what you shall feed it. Reaper Queen is one of those types. You shall find him at Flotsam. On random it is based on food which gives a percentage of 1 to 15 percent I believe. There are three variants of normal Reapers too. It took me 10 eggs to get one, though results are based on random and food type. It could be less or more attempts, depending on your luck. Be sure to always keep gold coins, that is what he needs to sell you eggs. If I remember it is 10 G for each egg. Just Horse has a great video on it and even shows you exact location to buy eggs. It is worth the watch. It shall save you much time and help in getting it. Not treading on horses toes.... I mean hooves and to help as I am on ps4 1. Target the thrall with the dot 2. Press and hold the square 3. Option wheel shows, top right is follow when not following...stop following if it is FYI top left on the wheel is place and guard so you csn place and leave. Hope this helps someone
...I would rank Greater Sabretooth higher then Greater Wolf. It has more damage,more hp and more armor. My kitty can easily kill Flame Guardian without even losing 10% hp so i don´t what´s wrong with yours. 1: Reaper Queen 2: Greater Sabretooth 3: Greater Wolf And i don´t care about the rest in a ranking.

Before the pet update you weren't able to lvl your pet so it had a basic health/damage, btw an updated version would be really nice

only reason why the wolf is number 2 because wolfs have a smart AI and have sunder. very good pet to have for both PVE and PVP
The AI is the same, its attack animation is an advantage. The attack makes it move around more than other animals.

tell yuh what it's not good against: Snake purges. Komodos are a great choice for that and possibly salamanders.

How did you control stats of each? Did you give them all max possible str and str perks?
That wouldn’t make sense, they’d be level 0 across the board to keep the test accurate of course.

Rhino was disqualified! Because he pushed npc so hard so they are stuck underground. But his damage was not that high ~47%

In pvp rhino is definitely top 10 tho. It can launch players in the air and cause even more damage from falling.

Right now they are works on bugs and exploit fixes, so maybe we will see a Komodo and snaked but not soon!
komodo's are decent. less so now that they nerfed their poison attacks. they are still immune to poison though.
this needs a update, the reaper queen doesnt even do the tail sweep anymore, and the sabretooth is more powerful than greater wolf

Sand reaper queen had by far the best result. The poison spit does insane AoE damage. Poison in general is a busted combat ability in CE.

What is the best pet for pvp?

mine did, but it was a close fight, wolfie had about 500 hps left after rhino king was dead
We honestly desperately need an updated list :( all info in this is basically obsolete ever since they changed pets
To be honest, I was thinking about making an updated video about the pets, because there have been quite a few new pets since then. But after checking the stats scales, I'm not sure that this list will change drastically.

Not drastically but there will be some shifting. Greater Lions for instance should probably make the list.
@@blaynegreiner9365 idk know about greater lions their damahge output is worse than a greater panther/jaguar and they dont sunder after their lunge attack either. Their health and armor/flexiblity is great though.
No Demonic Spider? That thing's a monster in combat, literally.
In pvp yes idk about pve but that's what these 10 are best at is pve
Honestly thought the greater bear would be higher. I love em, great health and they can take a beating. Excellent tanks for a purge
It is based on damage, bears lack some damage. IMO, bears are, bar none, the best tanking pet in the game.
Jason Works agreed. I’ve been trying to go for a few greater sabertooth. Recently I’ve seen some of the damage they can put out and it’s monstrous
@@brutallegend1100 had one on a pvp server isle of siptah. It 8 or 6 shotted a 3 skull black corsair boss at level 10 I think. This was 1 year ago so.

How up to date is the ranking now? I heard that there was an update rebalancing the pet stats in march.
Reaper Queen is now nerfed a lot, still good. Scorpion no idea not in video but pretty good.

It's strangely aggravating to see a wolf outperform a saber tooth or greater bear like that. They just aren't really strong predators on their own in general, unlike the aforementioned. I love my greater bear, amazing tank for pve.
Sadly, the big cats in the game are hampered by their attack animation. That side jump 'n swipe often misses :(
Do they really miss that often for you? It seems to hit quite often for me. 🤔
Being shorter they simply don't get hit as often.

Well wolves have a good chance for dodge.
If they are not dealing with wide attacks.
Its weird to me, that despite the bear being such a prevalent symbol in conan lore (crom theoretically takes the form of a bear, and many tribes follow the religion of “the great bear”) the bear is a complete pushover in this game.
So what are the best pets today?
Me GWolf is almost always under %50 health but hits like a truck.

@@javiertorresghersi5562 The Reaper Queen? Well, you have to go to Ignatius the Greedy and buy a Sand Reaper Egg from him. Then it is random what appears based on what you shall feed it. Reaper Queen is one of those types. You shall find him at Flotsam. On random it is based on food which gives a percentage of 1 to 15 percent I believe. There are three variants of normal Reapers too. It took me 10 eggs to get one, though results are based on random and food type. It could be less or more attempts, depending on your luck. Be sure to always keep gold coins, that is what he needs to sell you eggs. If I remember it is 10 G for each egg.
Just Horse has a great video on it and even shows you exact location to buy eggs. It is worth the watch. It shall save you much time and help in getting it. Hold interact button (Or "E" on PC) on pet and action wheel will appear
Just hold square which is the interaction button.
Not treading on horses toes.... I mean hooves and to help as I am on ps4
1. Target the thrall with the dot
2. Press and hold the square
3. Option wheel shows, top right is follow when not following...stop following if it is
FYI top left on the wheel is place and guard so you csn place and leave.

...I would rank Greater Sabretooth higher then Greater Wolf. It has more damage,more hp and more armor.
My kitty can easily kill Flame Guardian without even losing 10% hp so i don´t what´s wrong with yours.

And i don´t care about the rest in a ranking.
