    Everton played so well to the 80 minutes mark and a bit over. Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam had been exceptional. The former had still energy and the latter not. And Dyche took the first named off.
    Garner should have come on for Ireogbunam and maybe Armstrong for McNeil and Dixon for Coleman. And Calvert-Lewin should have stayed on the pitch, too.
    This collapse is really on Dyche. Still think and hope Everton will survive. Mangala and Broja (when fit) are also good acquisitions. Surely Branthwaite will be again a top performer when he returns. We have also increased hopes for Chermiti. Not to forget O'Brien, maybe he can form a partnership with Branthwaite. And who knows what Dele Alli can do if he makes a "come-back".

    • @LordHighness
      @LordHighness 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      So let me get this straight, Everton playing "so well" for 80 minutes, had nothing to do with Dyche, and he gets no credit from you for that - it just happened by itself, seemingly. Yet when the players on the pitch capitulate after conceding the first goal, THAT'S on Dyche though? Who cares about his subs, the players stopped doing the basics. He couldn't sub them all off, could he.
      I've heard Everton fans saying players were "tired" and "dead on their feet" and needed bringing off, it's absolute rubbish. We're 3 games into the season. A manager can only make a certain number of subs and players don't know if they'll be getting subbed off or someone else, therefore each player must be prepared to play 90 minutes, because most of them will have to! Blaming Dyche because the players did not fight until the end and just folded is ridiculous. We don't see other clubs doing this, it's a mentality thing amongst the players. I think Dyche should leave your club though, he's done all he can, kept you from relegation, even when Everton were deducted points. He's a stoic man and an honest man and he did his best but the club around him is just in a shocking state which is no fault of his and the fanbase is horribly toxic. I hope he leaves and finds a good job somewhere more deserving of his qualities.

      @LordHighness 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      So 3 games into the season and your players are "knackered"? A manager can only make a certain number of subs and players don't know if they'll be getting subbed off or someone else, therefore each player must be prepared to play 90 minutes, because most of them will have to! Blaming Dyche because the players did not fight until the end and just folded is ridiculous. They capitulated after the first goal went in and stopped doing the basics. Don't start talking about tired players at this early point of the season. Are they not fit enough to run around 90 minutes???? They need to dig in and fight until the end.
      It's a mentality thing with these players, sad how you're turning on Dyche. Everton actually played well for 80 minutes but you won't give Dyche any credit for that. I also don't think there was anything wrong at all with the smell it in the air comment. He's being honest, he meant he could sense and feel the belief draining from his players after they conceded the first goal. You think that gets solved with subs? It doesn't. The players are not good enough, they belong in the championship.

    • @gavinjohnson8951

      @@LordHighnessIt was the worst case of in-game mismanagement I've seen in my 30 odd years watching Everton. Of course the players are accountable, but the manager should act and try and stop it with sensible subs.
      Yes, the midfield of Iroegbunam and Gana were knackered because they had been working so hard. It was 20+ degree heat, and Bournemouth had brought on 5 subs. They started to make lazy passes on 80+ mins and one of them should have been taken off. Garner is a good substitution and his fresh legs would have calmed things.
      Dyche took off the man of the match in Ndiaye who was keeping them busy in their own half and also took off DCL who were our two best players on the day.
      Dyche didn't own his mistake. He blamed the players hanging them out to dry and deflected from his ineptitude.
      Sorry mate, I disagree with much of what you say.. If you were an Evertonian and were at the game I would give your opinion more weight.
      My opinion about Dyche sitting on his hands and not acting is held my many people who watched that game. It's nothing new, we've seen it from him many times, but never like on Saturday.

    • @DannyOConnor1991
      @DannyOConnor1991 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@LordHighness You clearly didn't watch the game.
      Iraola made 5 subs between 65-77 mins. Dyche made 2 incorrect subs when it was too late. And yes, the Everton players were tired. The whole of Goodison could see it, yet the manager couldn't. Fresh legs beat tired legs. It's not rocket science.
      Dyche is absolutely woeful. The sooner he is gone the better. He will do this for the rest of his career. Come in, get a team to do the basics and run more, then get sacked when they can't make progress under his shocking style. And the fact he threw his players under the bus while taking no responsibility himself was utterly disgraceful. All the while telling them to take responsibility. Pathetic.
      He will not be given a new deal at Everton, even if he isn't sacked. But I'd imagine David Moyes is sat waiting to get his old job back.

Instead, Dyche took off our two best players, and we completely collapsed. Five wins in 45 games suggests Dyche needs to take a hard look at his own decisions too! Why did he not do 4 subs then once the first goal went in? Win ugly, he says, well defensive play for the last 20 minutes was the way to go.

    • @LordHighness
      @LordHighness 18 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      It's not, his tactics which had Everton playing well, controlling the game and going 2 goals up was on him. But after Everton conceded the first goal, the players capitulated and stopped doing the basics. They did not dig in and fight until the end. The answer is not to just randomly chuck 4 subs on. If football management was as easy as that we could all do it. He thought he had the best team out there on the pitch already and should expect all of them to be prepared to run and fight for 90 minutes, especially 3 games into the season. There's no excuse for tired players yet. There's a mentality problem among the players, it's not Dyche's fault they threw all that hard work away in the last 10 minutes and stopped scrapping and doing the basics. As usual absolute nonesense spoken by people who know nothing about Everton FC. Everton played well until he made the subs and we lost our shape. Last season we didn’t win a game for 4 months. In 2024 we’ve won 4 or 5. He’s a terrible manager who talks tripe and threw the team under the bus in that interview. If we had a proper board in place he’d be gone and last season. He’s awful.
