Thank you for reminding us that we don't need to make choices that make others proud. I'm betting those of us on weight loss journeys practice a lot more self control and a lot more discipline than most people around us.

I’m just about 2 years out and struggle eating enough or eat junk. Haven’t had a soda at all which I don’t want to add any junk. I can easily slip back into old patterns that go me messed up in the first place. Thanks for sharing ❤️👍

❤ Do you ever wonder if the stress we feel is a result of all the events and issues from the surgery? I don't have the 'stress capacity' I had 2 yrs ago! I am convinced that worry about protein consumption, vitamins and cooking food that I can't eat have destroyed my stress capacity 😂! Meanwhile down on the farm..... The chickens are starting to lay eggs, the summer garden is winding down and winter squash is prolific!

I personally think a lot of it with me has to do with food being taken away as my main coping strategy. I still stress eat, but I definitely don't get the same "relief" anymore and I think it puts me personally in a vulnerable position of feeling stress and not being sure how to handle it. In the past, I certainly didn't handle my stress better but I was able to mask it better and would eat until the point of my focus being on my pain and discomfort rather than the initial cause of my stress. I bet there are a lot of factors, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is one reason I feel like my stress is increased these days.

Thank you so much! I have really enjoyed painting my nails every week way more than I thought I would - thanks for noticing! 😜🥰

I'm so lucky he's such a trooper! Now if he can just respond better to the insulin, we'd be golden lol. But we're making progress so that makes me happy 🥰

You look amazing! Are you still following low carb/ keto

Thank you so much!!❤ I was never following Keto or low carb plans to any extent. I try to be reasonable about carb intake but I focus on balance of different kinds of foods and nutrients above all else. As I say in this video, carbs are public enemy #1 right now and I truly don't believe they are the problem - no one specific food or food group is inherently the problem, at least for me and my specific situation and needs!
