I’m just over a month post surgery and I’ve been watching your videos since before surgery, and I’ve been trying to implement your advice and it helps heaps
Great videos! I am 16 months post VSG and one thing I like to do with the plain greek yogurt I add sugar free jello to the full container and mix it up. Its a great way to get your protein in. Its like eating desert!
I'm pre-surgery by about a month and a half. I did not realize how difficult it is to get protein in. Your ideas are so helpful! I watched this video yesterday, and today I made the pudding with the SF cheesecake pudding mix, a Premier Vanilla shake, and 4 oz of 2% milk (I wanted to have 4 half-cups. I'm funny that way). At any rate, it was delicious!!! Thank you so very much. I will be trying some of your other suggestions.
I'm so glad you liked it!!! And you are really setting yourself up for success by trying out recipes before surgery so you have ideas ready to go after surgery.
Love your video and I have subscribed! My VSG was on 12-21-2023. Since you were a Vegan in the past, I would be interested in any Vegan recipes you have come up with since your surgery. Will keep watching. Thanks!
That's a great idea! I must admit that not many of my meals these day are vegan, but I do have a good tofu one that I make on occasion. I will have to show that one!
I don't like the cottage cheese texture either. I blend it in a blender it makes it so much more tolerable. Also, I mix it with sugar free jello and zero sugar whipped topping. It's a delicious low carb high protein snack!!! Totally recommend it!
It's a pity they still insist on putting crap like Canola oil in the healthy choice power bowls... The vital Proteins stuff is very good and dissolves well. Costco does an occasional sale on this. Thanks for the video
Hi Nicole, I really enjoy your videos. You seem like such a fun person! I am going to have the gastric sleeve in June. Do you have any suggestions for things to order when eating out? Thanks!
My brain still always wants to do bread first and then my meal. So now I have to mentally prepare to order something that’s mainly protein and save the bread (and salad!) for after I’ve eaten at least some of the protein. I have asked waiters to bring all courses at once so I’m not sitting with the break staring at me. Or the salad - even though salad is good for you, I will fill up on that and I really need to prioritize protein. When going to a fast food restaurant, I don’t order fries or anything - just something protein-y. If it’s a sandwich, I do away with at least half the bread.
Thanks for the tips! I will pick up the pancake/waffle mix. I’ve been spending $$ purchasing from specialty sites. I do use cottage cheese to boost protein in eggs and soup. Want to try ranch dressing recipe also. Heard it was yummy. Hope you find a way to use it. 😊
Thanks, these are really helpful! I was worried about protein as I'm a vegetarian and I'm also allergic to peas, beans and nuts lol, but you have some good ideas here that I will definitely try! I'm a week away from surgery now and your videos have been really helpful :)
I am so jealous of all these videos I see singing the praises of sugar free items, like the puddings. I am severely allergic to aspartame, which is in the puddings.
I think time is the only real treatment, but make sure you get your protein and take vitamins. Also, a good trim can even things up and make it not look so scraggly while it’s growing back. :)
I know this process is about so much more than looks. (I’m in my pre op stage) but you look phenomenal!! Your videos are so helpful! Thank you
Thank you so much!!

To get used to cottage cheese, I mix a little bit with my greek yogurt! Oh, and adding fruit is amazing!
Great idea!!
I’m so glad I finally found someone with same taste, thoughts, and surgery I have/had! Girl you rock!!! New follower
I took notes all throughout this super helpful video. I also subscribed. 😊

Your set up for failure with your allergies. Please rethink your decision. Maybe do shakes

Oh no! That does make it a bit more difficult, doesn’t it? Are you able to use sweeteners like monk fruit or stevia?
Good information. TFS.
Glad it was helpful!
I have tree nut allergies! What would you recommend? I can have peanuts. Looking forward to making peanut butter smoothies.
New subbie videos are so informative. TFS 😊
