I was in Thailand last December, I only ate the Thai food and went to their coffee houses. The absolute best.

American chain restaurants are different in other countries. Like in Korea, you can get fried shrimp burgers at Burger King. So if you have the opportunity to visit another country you should definitely still check out their version of American food, might be completely different.
or maybe trying some local burgers with thai owners at least

Besides that those chains are considered like the bottom of the barell chain restaurants here in the u.s. hardly anybody buys from those.

Actually, most teenagers nowadays know at least basic English. So if you can’t speak Thai and need to ask anything, ask the teenagers or the seller, most of them know how to communicate. Thailand is a great country, spoken from a Thai.

@@xyz-pg3zd If in bangkok, I recommend you go to temples like Wat Prakaew. If you want to go to malls, i recommend Icon Siam or Paragon but if you prefer going to other province, beaches are the best option. But you MUST try Thai food! They’re so good. I recommend Tom Yam kung, Phad Thai and Thai curry.

@@xyz-pg3zd beaches: Koh chang, Koh Samui, Pattaya, Hua Hin and Phi Phi islands (clearest water and most beautiful beaches I’ve been to)
And yes, but you should definitely do some researches and check some reviews for restaurants

If your gonna exchange your money for Thai baht at the airport on your arrival go to the lowest level , some how that level isn’t considered airport property and you get a much better rate ( it’s worth taking a couple escalators , believe me )

If you want a break from exclusively Thai food then Thailand is one of the best places in the world for international cuisine at really affordable prices. I had the best pizza I've ever had outside of Naples in Bangkok. Wood fired oven and just perfect charr on the crust and it was 6 USD. I also had an absolutely incredible gourmet burger and hand cut fries for a similar price and don't even get me started on their Sunday roasts.
So all to say Western fast food chains are the absolutely last place I'd choose to eat in Thailand. Give your money to a local business that makes it fresh - not some multinational corporation with food that has less nutritional value than the environmentally awful packaging it came in.

Why do you need to carry tissues in Bangkok?
Some toilets have none. They do have a small shower hose though.
