Shelly Winters had 2 Oscars proving she was great. She was in the original film, "Alfie" with Michael Caine. She was great with Robert Mitchum in the Charles Laughton directed film, "The Night of the Winter." She also worked with John Garfield, Burt Lancaster, Vittorio Gassman, etc. She was Marilyn Monroe's roommate; both attended the Actor's Studio in NYC.
S. Winters was a great actress. Unfortunately, she was relegated to playing the same shrill character in most movies. This is a well-crafted cautionary tale how a selfish, unbalanced, hedonistic female almost causes the destruction of a descent man. Ought to be mandatory viewing for highschool boys. 😉👍
This guy Andrew is really weak. Twice, he lets dopey dames talk him into situations he knows are wrong. No gloves when he's snooping around. Getting involved with gangsters! Like many people with advanced degrees, he didn't learn any common sense.
