I love this old layout. Could this be built out using KATO Unitrack? The KATO stuff is much more common and easier to get than Tomix. What would really be awesome is to combine the two layouts - this one and your 1-meter by 2-meter into one big one, then have a breakoff to a subterranean / large passenger terminal below it.
Thanks for your comment! KATO and Tomix have different rail types (curve radius, etc.). So I find it difficult to build this same layout using KATO's Unitrack. However, I think we can create similar layouts.
@@masa35676 - If I wanted to pursue it, it would probably be best to do the track plan in AnyRail using Tomix first, then make the appropriate calculations to port it to Kato. I'm in the U.S. and it's a shame, because Tomix has some really nice stuff. Would be nice also to get the catenary wires added - which only Vollmer offers. I had model railroads as a kid in HO. I'm gravitating to N now, because you can build large passenger terminals and run long consists that would require a huge building even in HO.

家のスペースの事情で、現在はコンパクトな新レイアウトに置き換えています。
広いレイアウトは、作り込みに時間がかかりメンテナンスも大変ですが、
長編成の車両が行き交う光景はやはり魅力的なので、将来またチャレンジしたいと思っております。
