Wow sounds like a great memoir or book!! I’d love to read it! Thank you for the advice, I’ve found that discernment is a huge key to choosing your rides and travel buddies! It can get messy real quick!!! So thank you for leaving your comment, there’s a lot of new riders that are interested in the lifestyle, so I hope this film and the comment section assist them in their travels!!! If you end up writing a book, please let me know I’d love to read it! Peace & Blessings ☀️✌️
When I was around 18 I’m 55 now I took off hitchhiking around the USA ! Brings back memories. Nowadays I’m on my Harley or bicycle always stirring it up and staying adventurous! Keep at it young man have a blast !
"Its a good day to have a good day!" Love it. You're infinity watchable Mark. Beautifully edited and soundtracked! Loved the collection of wisdoms from various people along the way and how you shared the quiet moments of beauty that most people miss! I can see your mom in you! Good souls!
I love your attitude. I've been watching alot of train hopping videos, hitchhiking videos and biking across country videos. I envy you. Oh the urge to sale all of my belongings, buying a pack and survival items and taking off.
I've hitched and train hopped around the US for years in my past. If you're still on the road and are ever in the Augusta area, you can stop by and stay for a while. Keep loving and don't let the road or anything else ever tear you down. It's hard, sometimes. ❤️
I hitchhiked when i was young looks like you missed out on the drunks.the criminals and the serial killers.drug addicts those are who picked me up.thank god im still alive
Mark, you truly are an amazing soul. It was through your journey that I found you. Our friendship is something I shall cherish. And one day, I hope we get to meet in person. This was so beautiful to watch. What a blessing and inspiration you are! Peace and Love be with you always Hippie! ✌️💖🐦🎼🎸 ♥️💜🤍♥️
Hi. Im going to be doing this in just over a months time. Just wanted to ask did you charge your phone with a solar screen? Also what tips do you have?
Hey there 👋 Wow sounds exciting! I had a solar power bank with me, but the sunlight didn’t charge it effectively enough for me personally! It was so slow! But it also has the option to charge it with a power cord. (Which takes like ten hours to complete) but then you get around 5-6 full phone charges out of it! Maybe they make them even more elite now, but it worked well for me. As for tips, pack as light as you can!!! This was my third hitchhiking journey and each time I had way too much baggage weight. I just couldn’t seem to get it under 55 pounds 😂 and also expectations of how a day should go… you never know what’s gonna happen it’s SO random!!! So keep an open mind an open heart, while also majorly using discernment and trusting your intuition. This last trip really changed my life positively and I believe there’s some great lessons that come from it! You’ll find there are a lot of kind people out there on the road!! Are you gonna document it?? I’d love to watch your travels!!! Good luck and safe travels!! 😊 thanks for stopping by I appreciate it 🙏☀️
Wow, Mark. Fantastic video! I finally had time to watch it in its entirety. You met many incredible people along the way. I'm looking forward to Part 2 (if there is Part 2).
Thank you so much, that means a lot to me 🙏 The people were definitely one of the best parts of the trip. Being able to hear their stories and their advice was just amazing. I wanted to try and show that there is still so much good in the world 😁 I’ve been mapping out a new route lately 🤣
I saw your video and gave me a little hope, I'm even in a worse situation, I'm homeless and hitching hiking in the south to California from SC Sending you a hug if that's ok online.
Oh goodness hope you’re staying warm!! If you can get down to highway 10 you’ll be a lot warmer on the journey. Days can be hard, but there is a beauty in it all! Know everything will be okay and you’ll have a great story to tell afterwards. There are tons of people wanting to lend a hand, bless your travels ☀️🙏 hugs back to you, thank you 😊
Great work this Mark!!! I won’t lie, was a bit worried about you making that trip alone, and it was amazing to see how many truly kind Christians and others connected with you along the way🥰🙏🏻 The soundtrack is phenomenal! Well Edited and put together! It was a lot of fun to watch and very interesting! You should do some live chats and/or podcasts too! I can’t be the only one with a lot of questions about the people and the journey. I know I’ll watch it several more times. There wasn’t a single boring moment! BTY, what kind of cookies were those?😋😁
That means so much to me, thank you 💗💗💗 Yeah this was only a third of the footage I got! So many Christians picked me up, it was really nice to see 😊 I appreciate you very much 🙏Hope your summer has been groovy ☀️😁💗
Take a month off work and come do the ocean coast from Maine to Florida and back with me! Think of all the views a brother & sister duo would get 😎😎 thank you 🙏 Love you very much.
Hey man, stumbled on this video today and really enjoyed it. Got a question for ya, has your body held up well from all the sleeping on uneven surfaces and carrying around a heavy pack? I'm hoping to set off on a big journey on my bicycle this year, but am a bit hesitant because of the toll vagabonding has had on my psychical health in the past. Cheers man
Totally hear ya!! I did a few trips before this one, where there was a lot of trial and error figuring out what’s necessity and what isn’t! An absolute game changer is yoga mats! I carried two on me this whole trip and it really made a difference when sleeping on rough terrain! Definitely suggest it if you end up going!! I honestly believe staying hydrated plays a major part in the beat down the road gives the body! My pack was prob 55-60 pounds, and couldn’t seem to get it much lighter than that!! Ha… I tried 😅 a bike sounds super fun!!! Please try and document your journey!! Thanks for commenting, I appreciate it 🙏
Hey man, I've been looking into this for a long time. I'm someone who dreams but rarely makes those a reality. This was much better than all of the documentaries I've found, this truly showed what its like trying to do this. I may do this eventually. My current situation with my job ends in April so then is an option. So many dreams, I dont know what to actually pursue and so I do nothing. I want to make one dream a reality, then make another, and so on. once at a time. And this is one of those hopefully. What camera do you use? God bless.
I totally understand what you mean! When I find myself longing for a change, or needing something new, I usually force myself to just “jump”. Cuz we often talk ourselves out of things if we overthink them! Mid April is a good time to venture out, but yeah there are so many ideas and dreams… I feel ya!! Adventures like these truly grow the soul, and I believe you would have a great experience! Try not to overthink the things you’re passionate about and just go with the flow, and make that first step! I find the first step is often the hardest. Thanks so much for the kind words, I really appreciate it 🙏 Good luck! You CAN do anything you put your mind & heart to!! ☀️
I actually used an older iPhone 6s, but when you film with it sideways, it records with higher pixel resolution!! I was quite pleased with the results ha
