Exactly. Vertical elements fulfill the same function as a frame on a painting.

Its hard to devote time to the layout in the summer as I get occupied with things that can only be done in the nice weather. But I do have some good videos planned. :D

Solid tip my friend!! You are the king of going vertical and adding layers. Like the thumbnail too!

Thanks. I'd say you have an amazing amount of layers on your layout.

You should give up on good looking track and switch to kato uni-track.😅 this is the first n-scale layout I’ve seen this morning that doesn’t use little kid snap track. It’s refreshing

Where did you find the refinery back ground? I haven't came across any thing that close to looking as good as that.

Shutterstock. I did have to use photoshop to get it how I wanted. For more detail on the backdrops, you can check out the video I made a while back.

God forbid someone builds a refinery inside a loop of a mountain, the workers there would have no escape!! Lol JKJK I've worked dozens of plants in Houston and the ones located on the ship channel are incredibly scary since one end of the facility is in the water!

Great video(s)!. @nscaler454 what is the best way to contact you? I have some questions about your refinery model. I am also in Alberta, Canada if you are as well...
