    With Yamaha releasing its fourth generation bike in the MT-09 line-up, some major revisions are here so naturally, we had to give it the works on our dyno. Join us as we give this new bike a few runs and begin planning for the future of it for us.

    Wheel horsepower is not what manufacturers claim. Its always gonna be lower

      I pretty much assume the figures where already corrected to engine + trans HP

      They only say the power of the Engine and Not with gearbox etc. so power on the rear tire is always lower

    I don't know the mileage of this particular bike but my understanding is that an engine will generate more power when its loosened up a bit 🤔

    Did you have traction control and lift control turned off? It feels like these features limit the throttle response on my bike so I wanted to know if these results were with these features turned on or off.

    Need TST to hurry with the eliminator lol cant stand mine already. Just ordered a replacement clutch lever since I snapped with the leaf blower by accident lol. Any thing you guys come out for this new model I'm dying to get already as I've already done with my other bikes. Keep at it!!!

    manufacturers claim HP is in the crank. WHP is less because of drivetrain loss.

    wow perfect hp too close 120.152mph 4th gen top speed faster than 3th gen

    Can't wait for the integrated tail light. I've had one of yours on all of my previous bikes, and I'm shopping for a 2024 MT09 right now

    Right on what the tuners dyno'd the 23 at. I have a 23 XSR, even with LV exhaust/Vcyclenut tune the bike doesn't make big numbers. The tune is not for nothing though the bike is much more fun to ride with the mods.

      We’re hoping that we’re only a couple of weeks out from releasing that kit. It’s currently in manufacturing.

      I freakin hate itttttt. Mustard Bikes has one out that is confirmed to fit 2024 models, but i know the quality of tst.. i don’t know the quality of mustard bikes. Tempted to grab the mustard bikes until tst’s comes out just to get rid of the whale tail

    151mph in 6th gear did they finally remove the top speed limiter ?
    111hp at the crank is really low for a cp3 i know they have smaller airbox than the previous gen and are down on power but not that much

      Believe me, you will not like going over 120mph on a naked bike, no down force so the front end gets really light.

    aren't dyno hp runs rear wheel hp? If so, that seems pretty strong, don't you usually lose about 10-12 or so hp over brake hp? or at the crank? Maybe we need a lesson on how many different types of hp rating there are and what it means? i know i could Google it but a motorcyle specific video would be cool to watch.

      yeah dyno runs are rear wheel HP so to me its probably making its 119 bhp

    This should make about 105 at the wheel

      Stock: 105 - 110 whp, tuned 115 - 124 whp, depending on how the flash, performance air filter / after market (full) exhaust system come together (cat out = + 7 whp) in the hands of an experienced Pro 😎✌️

    Nice dyno but why have you put this on the Dyno with only a few 100 miles on the clock surely it should be fully run in first before you rev the nuts out of it!!🤔🤷🏼‍♂️😬 Love this new MT09 tho!!👌🏻👍🏻

      We prefer to break engines in on the dyno and with hard road/track use.

      @TSTindustries Really so why are we told by all motorcycle manufacturers to run your bike in properly without caning the nuts out it!!😬 Very interesting that you say that & are you saying that buying any new motorcycle just cain it from new!!🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

      @@davelawrence594 The process we use is not a suggestion or recommendation for anyone else. We race our motorcycles and perform extensive maintenance on them as well. Occassionally we have to rebuild them or replace internal components. Motorcycle manufactures provide their recommended break-in procedure for longevity and safety reasons for the mass public.

      @TSTindustries Thanks for getting back to me as I'm just saying it from how we all are advised by the manufacturers & i wasn't having a pop at you or what you guys do i was just baffled by a brand new bike being thrashed on the dyno & I'm very interesting in how this new MT09 turns out as im really interested in the SP version when it finally get here in the uk!!😬 Thanks again for replying!!👌🏻👍🏻

      @@Miasarek1check out Kelpi Customs for exhaust and seat covers if that’s something you might be interested. The Kelpi makes this bike sound awesome. Man I wish I waited it out for a SP!
