Update: I was finally home all afternoon to make and stir this recipe, and it lives up to its billing. We used dark chocolate cocoa powder, so it was extra chocolatey. It was difficult to grate the hard chocolate, so I ended up chopping it into pieces with a knife. Really excellent dessert! Actually, I've never been disappointed in any of Sasha's recipes, but I can really recommend this one. Just make sure you are home to keep stirring! (To answer Evie's question below, I don't know if you could use just milk. I had to buy cream just for this recipe.)

Yes people you need heavy cream (or pureed avocado?) otherwise it'll turn into hard ice (ive tried with the 'nice cream' recipes). Its still muchh lighter in calories than store bought ice cream and healthier than "low carb low fat" ice cream because its homemade and he only uses 1/2 cup for the whole thing. A small amount should fill you up for your ice cream cravings

Side note what if its not greek style while it froze completely?
Second side note here is what i do when i want something sweet and healthy (relatively) maybe you give it a spin
2 ripe bananas cold from fridge (cuas nobody got time to froze them)
Smash them with a fork and add a fork-full of tahini with cocoa (yes usually those guys have some sugar in them but i'll allow it)
For no sugar option i usually go for a 2tbs of peanut butter

Hi Annabella! I just wanted to impact the texture of my frozen yogurt, oats kinda soak the extra moisture and help creating less ice crystals inside the mixture, that was just a test and I think it worked like a charm.
