I did this install myself and these instructions are SPOT ON. The only difference is that I was able to install this into the bottom of the armrest center console so that the VL2 unit actually sits below the pull out storage compartment tray in the armrest - and it sits in there perfectly and hidden away allowing full use of my glove compartment so that when I take my car in for service the dealership won't ever even find it when they service my vehicle (changing the indoor cabin filter). I love the GROM unit so much - the build quality is excellent and it works just like it says it does. Highly recommended!
1:51 I lost the 10 mm bolt for the radio (on the passenger side). It fell down inside the vehicle. Do you have any ideas on how I can retrieve it? I imagine I have to disassemble more parts but it’s not obvious what I need to disassemble.
The VLine VL2 system to add CarPlay and Android Auto to the factory car stereo of Lexus RX 350 450H 2013-2019 is available here: gromaudio.com/store/vline/grom-vl2-lex78.html Model: LEX78VL2
@gromaudio Where does the GPS antenna end up getting mounted? I was looking for that part in the vid after downloading the instruction manual from your site. I have a 2015 RX 350 which differs GREATLY from what you show here in the later model RX 350.
We usually mount the GPS antenna on the top of the display behind the upper dash panel. The main point is to ensure the antenna is not blocked by metal and is facing up. Having it behind the plastic dash is ok. Here is an example: th-cam.com/video/rN-9IjIxAAE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=4X7YPHvZkEstmW0U&t=410

Do you have any pictures or instructions to do this? I’m not a fan of this taking up the glovebox space either.
Thank you so much for your feedback; we love to hear that you love our product!
Hey teddyfran, I love your idea , but how did you route the cables into the console? I’m guessing you drilled a hole.
Dang, I love to hide money under that tray. Aint nobody finding anything in there
We would all love to see pics of how you did this!
Man, you got a soothing Bob Ross voice. I am buying this!
Can anyone tell me what kind of pry tool the installer is using? That thing looks like it beats the heck out of the plastic kit of tools I have.
Can't it be installed inside the center console behind radio to keep all the heat from the unit out of the glove box?
@gromaudio 2013, 2014 and 2015 Lexus RX540h is radically different (earlier generation) than 2016-2019. I installed the GROM VLine VL in my 2013
Hello, do you know if this supports 2013 RX350 NON-NAVIGATION MODEL?

Try to use a magnetic tool such as a screwdriver with magnetic tip.
The bolt went so far down that I can’t even see it.
@@waterdd1 that is tough!
