    hello I discovered your interesting product and I would like to upgrade my RX400h (2007). I have many questions : Can I keep and use the original tape reading system by adding your device ? Where do you install and fix your device ? do i keep an can use the rear camarea as usual? What is the difference between the product Vlite and Vline ? do you have retailers in europe and specially in France? thanks a lot

      Hello, you can upgrade your car stereo with VLite or VLine systems as long as the stereo has an LCD screen. Check here compatible systems:
      gromaudio.com/store/all-toyn_lex5_.html
      Answers to your questions:
      1. Your original car stereo system will keep working. The external CD changer, if present, will be disconnected. Most likely your vehicle does not have an external CD changer.
      2. You connect GROM VLine VL2 system or VLite VT2 system at the back of your car stereo and display, using video and power cables provided with the systems. You then route the main "brain" module to the glove box (preferable location).
      3. Yes the rear view camera will keep working.
      4. The difference between VLine VL2 and VLite VT2 is that the VLite VT2 is for CarPlay and Android Auto only, while VLine VL2 has the CarPlay, Android Auto, and also fully functional built-in Android where you can download any apps from Google Play store to use on your car stereo. Check here complete compare table:
      gromaudio.com/vl_compare.html
      5. We have partners in Europe. UK: gromaudio.co.uk, Netherlands: motrade.nl, Germany: maxxcount.com

    this will be my first time doing installations and modifications. Will there be any other instruction manual/video for installation that comes with purchase? Also if I am trying to hide the vline unit in the glove box, will I need to drill for wire management? Thanks.

      The installation really depends on your vehicle. We do not provide the install videos for each individual vehicle that is available. However you can get an idea.
      If you are in doubt about your technical abilities, we recommend contacting car stereo professional in your area.

      For Lexus 2006 400H you need factory navigation in order for the stereo to be compatible with VLine VL2.

    Is there a video showing how this actually works when using it, do you have a demo video? Would it matter if you already replaced the factory radio in the RX350 2009 with Navigation and no longer had the OEM radio?

    • @gromaudio
      @gromaudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      GROM VLine System works with OEM factory stereos only, it does not work with the aftermarket stereos. Please check our TH-cam channel th-cam.com/users/gromaudio for demo videos of our system.

    I have an 05 Rx 330 and my ac stopped working at the same time as some of the buttons stopped. The only ones that work are the menu and info buttons. Climate, display, clock, etc are out and I cannot get ac on. I am in Florida and it has been almost ninety degrees. Anybody know how I can fix it?

    • @gromaudio
      @gromaudio  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      for 2007-2009 we do not have anything compatible if there is no display/nav. The only option is to replace to the aftermarket stereo.

    What is the "supplied cable" that Im suppose to connect to the blue port before I run wires through the dash???

    • @gromaudio

      all cables needed for the installation will come with GROM VLine VL2 system. You will need to connect the video cable to the blue port at the back of the display, GVMF. Thank you.

    Where do you mount the Grom unit?

    • @dcheney4197
      @dcheney4197 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Wilson I requested my installer to mount my Vline in my glove box, to easily gain access to the USB and HDMI ports. Some hide it behind the dash, near VC the O.E.M. deck, but I like mine in the glove box.

      How do you route the cables into the glove box ? I have a grom v2 for my 2008 Rx400h but I can’t seem to figure out if any cutting of the glovebox is required to get the cabling jnto there - and or if the glove box needs to be removed first
      Any help would be appreciated . Ty in advance !

      It's because he had to shift the gear selector down in order to remove the panel above the gear selector, so it's necessary for the key to be in the ignition. :)
