    but how is it realtime if it is baked, is it like just precalculating some stuff then just tweaking them at runtime?

      yes, some crappy baking proccess that last like 10 minutes on a dumb scene
      Unreal, has true realtime bounce ilumination im testing rigth now and is cool
      but, really really, i dont want to mess with c++ or "niagara" idk what

    Thanks for these videos man! I've paid for a tutorial on udemy for basically the same content, what you roll out in your videos, but somehow your explanation is more illuminating for me. :) (pun intended :) ) Keep up the good work!

    Im look at 2019.2.16f1 personal. Settings in Lighting are quite different and there no sign of "Realtime lighting".
    Did they change something in latest version?

      I don't know. In my Unity 2019.2.6f1 its there.

      This only works with unity legacy version... This is not supported on URP or HDRP... Thats why u don't see the options... With urp or HDRP You need to bake GI or use the preview version of Ray traycing GI

    Please help when I change the intensity multiplier of the environment lighting, IT DOSN'T CHANGE anything in my scene, please help
    I enabled Global illumination an it dosn't work, I have shadows like at 2:00

      Have you marked the object "Static" enabled "Generate Lightmap Uvs".

    3:34 in my end , the GI lightmap will be shown overlay on a checker pattern rather than black color. Where is the setting so i can make it black ?

      Turn off the "Show Lightmap Resolution" at the very bottom.

    There's no "Light ORB" object in Cartoon Temple Asset, I've checked many times hierarchy, but there's no option for Light ORB, how can I continue, UGuruz please help me, I'm stuck.

    First off; thanks for the guide!
    I do have a question; in my project, we have semi-destructable environments, which we achieved by having each section of a room built of three meshes. The first mesh is the only one that is active until the area is "damaged", at which point the first mesh is disabled, and then the next appropriate mesh is activated. However, in my first test, I noticed that the baked GI function did not account for disabled meshes in the scene, and soon run time, we ended up damaged meshes having incorrect lighting and not adapting to the GI of the scene. Is there any way you could recommend we go around this issue?

      For dynamic destructable objects you can use light probs..

    Still don't get it. I mean this GI can only emitting light with light source and emissive material but not normal material, right? and it also affects to static obejcts only, so it can never be an alternative option for realtime ray tracing. it's called realtime GI but still not realtime

    Im having a problem with a scene in Unity. No matter what I try I can't get the illumination from the sun causing a reflection off of the floor inside of buildings. its as if the walls and ceiling have no effect in blocking this reflection trail like the moon over the ocean. please please I know you can help me!!!!!!

    Is dynamic GI Possible for example if u move that blue illuminated object instead of light how will unity handle that ?`

      I will re bake all the light again because self illuminated objects are not supported in realtime GI

    use realtime if you have changing lights or character moving with a lamp or a torch
    if not use baked

      It's not available in newer version of Unity.

If my scene is well lit without global ilumination using skybox refletion and skybox lighting, is it must to use GI? What are the best settings for an android game to be performent? How professionals do lightening setting for android/ios mobile games? Thanks.

      If I use directional light with REALTIME mode, and skybox environemnt lightening and environment reflection intenties of 1, my road track game scene is well lit. Should I still replace it with baking GI it to be more performant because directional light is in REAL mode?

      Yes baked GI is more performant. Also it depends upon the size of your level. If you are getting 60fps+ with real time lighting then I think you don't need to bake anything.

      realtime is needed if the light source needs to change or move around. If your light source doesn't move or change, baked is better.(baked will always look better)
