Bro! I am so freaking impressed with your intelligence. Besides watching your mind work through that, I REALLY want that a copy of that puzzle!Touched my heart in various ways.
This key is like the one for my shed. I employ the shake and shout method. Your methodology and understanding of the solutions is great. Good job! Propeller next.
Thing is that you can’t *just* turn one direction, because that locks up the balls inside by friction. So you have to move it back a little to try to turn it. But not too much, because then you move backwards.
Just been going through old Mr Puzzle videos and I have learnt some mechanical engineering (I'm an robotics engineer - little bit of mech more elec!) but still great. I want to see the rest now
Ball bearings = the noun "bearings" is described by the adjective "ball" to indicate the shape of these specific bearings. "Bearing balls" = the noun "balls" is described by the adjective "bearing" indicating what function those specific balls have. If you call them "bearings" (noun), then they can be described as "ball bearings". If you call them "balls" (noun), then they can be described as "bearing balls". Both ways are perfectly correct in English and if people complain then it is because they don't understand the difference between nouns and adjectives.
A ball bearing is a specific type of bearing. These are the balls which are typically part of that type of bearing. Therefore bearing balls is more correct.
Mr. Puzzle did send LPL a lock puzzle. Not surprisingly, it took LPL a few seconds to get it open. Probably wouldn't do quite as well with another type of puzzle.
hi Mr puzzle .. i think you are you the brilliant ..but not the puzzle .. brilliant as usual .. you know what ..?? till now ..i did not subscrib any channel exept yours .. you are the only one who was able to cupsured me .. have a nice evening dear Mr puzzle ..😊😊😊
i recently solved perplexus! took me a few hours but it was worth it,it was quite challenging and I quite enjoyed it,i hope to dothe harder ones next, but the classic one gave me a run for my money
The mechanism seems pretty similar to "single way roller clutch" or "renold trapped roller clutch". Only implemented with just 2 bearing balls to allow the clutch to "fail" to allow opening the lock.
My first guess was to turn the case instead of the key. And looking the mechanism inside later, looks like maybe i was right. Once you find the correct angle, just turn the case and try to keep the key in the same angle.
When the front of it is laying on the table, it looks like there is something just to the right of the bottom of the keyhole. Perhaps it is some sort of block. The key is definitely being stopped at that point regardless of which direction it is coming from.
That was brilliant, although I think they should have trolled you, ship it in the locked position and have the keys blade(?) offset slightly. You might be able to see it but it would mess with your expectations. Also I'm still half asleep, can someone explain what is stopping you turning the puzzle in the locked direction to solve it?
@@Mr.Puzzle I think I'm just a bit slow Mr P! When u first watched it I thought you could turn the key to lock it through 360 degrees and therefor open it again. I assume there is something stopping the key turning round completely on the case though. I understood the puzzle mechanism though, it was lovely in its simplicity. Great video too, thanks for the upload.
So the trick is to not rotate the key but to rotate the puzzle itself as soon as it's unlocked you can rotate it infinitely until you slide the key out
I thought it was pretty clear too. The most annoying part of it, though, was him jiggling the key so far backwards that he undid his progress. Even if the key's required orientation wasn't noticed, it should have been abundantly clear that jiggling it backwards was unnecessary after the first time he did it (or the second....or the third.........etc.).
@@SgtSupaman The moving backwards doesn't bother me because it was part of Mr puzzle trying to understand the method for solving the puzzle rather than doing it by chance.
Watching a video is a bit like watching a picture after it was taken. Before you take it you focus so much on the item you shoot that you do not see the things around it. After you took the pictue you see a lot of additional stuff you haven't seen before. You can imagine it to be about the same when solving a puzzle live on camera. You need to explain what you think and see and this makes it definitely harder to discover all details as when doing it alone.
12:51 : Ratchet would also be correct, though those are mostly used in tools such as a socket wrench.
This guy is a legend for being so consistent
Agreed
lol The BEST PART was YOUR Drawing! NICE! You DID have the 'Right' Idea. Bravo!
The mechanism of this puzzle is truly amazing. Very cleverly made.

Now you know the trick is to hold the key still and turn the shed. 👍
The instinct to twist a little bit clockwise prior to every counter-clockwise turn really seemed to get you on this one. :P
It seems designed to defy expectations at every _turn._
...
I'll get my coat.

2:35 was literally the best place I've ever seen to put an add 👏👏👏
That mechanism is beautiful. Really elegant machining and aesthetic.
11:20 "What is this? Don't do this to me, I don't want to break..." hahah while attempting to open it to show its serects... too funny Mr Puzzle! 🤣
Thanks for sharing the puzzles with us. I vote for Propeller puzzle next
The elegant solution was so satisfying to watch 😊
I would like to see both of the other puzzles too, please, but Lighter first. TY!
Just been going through old Mr Puzzle videos and I have learnt some mechanical engineering (I'm an robotics engineer - little bit of mech more elec!) but still great. I want to see the rest now
and such a simple and clean outfit!
of course I'd like to see both of the puzzles..

A single ball is not a bearing. A bearing is an assembly.

No. NO MORE BALLS.
keep ooon puzzling dear Mr puzzle ..
you are great ..
I feel like I’m watching an alternate universe version of a LPL video.
Mr. Puzzle did send LPL a lock puzzle. Not surprisingly, it took LPL a few seconds to get it open. Probably wouldn't do quite as well with another type of puzzle.
If only an LPL video was 15 minutes long...
Hahaha for reals!
I like these little puzzles and I vote for the propeller! :D
hi Mr puzzle ..
i think you are you the brilliant ..but not the puzzle ..
brilliant as usual ..
you know what ..??

have a nice evening dear Mr puzzle ..😊😊😊
that was satisfying. very satisfying.
Awesome puzzles beautifully made. You are a legend at puzzles. My choice would be the propeller puzzle next
Thanks!
Very nice! I just love little metal puzzles.
That's not quite the mechanism I was imagining in my head but that is also a lot more clever and simpler to execute.
Clever design indeed. Salute !!
Very clever mechanism. I like R2D2 and will be great to see the propeller.
That windmill puzzle looks interesting! But, I'd probably enjoy watching either one honestly :)
Hmm. I got an ad for the "square wave" gadget toy dealie that Mr puzzle showed us a while back. Cool.
Nice! Twist the lock not the key! Brilliant.
I want to see both!
i recently solved perplexus! took me a few hours but it was worth it,it was quite challenging and I quite enjoyed it,i hope to dothe harder ones next, but the classic one gave me a run for my money
I want to see all three today please.
Did you ever solve the Propeller and lighter puzzles? I'd love to see them.
Still in my cabinet, untouched.
Thank you for this, did you think of a spin move? I would like to see the propeller puzzle. Thank you again.
thanks that was great
"This is Mr. Puzzle and what I have for you today is..."
I wonder if LPL would enjoy this one, simply for the aesthetics. Though it's probably unpickable and unusable if mounted on a door or in a vice...
Simple and complicated at the same time
The mechanism seems pretty similar to "single way roller clutch" or "renold trapped roller clutch". Only implemented with just 2 bearing balls to allow the clutch to "fail" to allow opening the lock.
Omg the whole time i was like " just hold the key and turn the puzzle" i was right for once!😁
Ich würde gerne das Feuerzeug-Puzzle sehen 👍
Do the propeller one next please :)
Jeez this one is sweet!
I’m pretty sure he put the screws in that tight so you wouldn’t accidentally “over puzzle” the puzzle.
This is amazing, how do people even think of this
Hello.. World Famous Mr. Puzzle Do the Solutions for the Propeller Puzzle and the Lighter Puzzle so we could purchase, PLEASE !!!
I’ve been watching some of your past videos, which made me wonder what you do with these puzzles once you’ve finished them. How do you store them?
I do not display them. Only very few to let people fiddle with them. The rest is in my office in a cabinet. Complete chaos. :P
@@Mr.Puzzle 😊 three are some beautiful puzzles you have
Hi Mr.Puzzle could you please do the Propeller one I am trying to buy it for someone and want to see if it would be to hard or how easy it is.
where can i get this puzzle? I have a old puzzle with a similar concept but this one looks so modern
The lighter puzzle next please
What is the function of the tiny gap in the key? Would the puzzle become impossible to solve if the manufacturer forgot to cut that?
No
That's pretty hilarious, having to turn the lock instead of the key
Nice puzzles, butt the prices are crazy
Propeller one please because my Dad flies model aeroplanes.
My first guess was to turn the case instead of the key. And looking the mechanism inside later, looks like maybe i was right. Once you find the correct angle, just turn the case and try to keep the key in the same angle.
Oh, you did it later, lol. Well, im proud of myself 😅
Why is there no more ball bearings? A ball bearing is different then a roller bearing and many othrr bearings.
this is what i was thinking
I want to own this puzzle just to watch friends struggle to figure it out and then solve it myself in two seconds
It IS "Ball Bearings"
Whats stopping you from going backwards all the way around and pulling it out that way

See at the end. I demonstrated it in open condition.

Check 11:34 when the puzzle's lid is tilted diagonally, in the lid there's a little block to the right of the keyhole
@@Glycheer I thought there must have been, guess I missed it first time through. Thank you!
The lighter looks cooler but I think the propeller looks promising as a puzzle.
I'm curious about the lighter puzzle
Plot twist: you need to rotate the lock, not the key
So confusing hearing Pestily's intro music in your video. :P
So the trick is to not rotate the key but to rotate the puzzle itself as soon as it's unlocked you can rotate it infinitely until you slide the key out
Why not both.
hi dear ..i prefer to work on the lighter first ..☺☺pleas
Hello Mr. Puzzle
it's already 4 months and still no lighter or propeller puzzle :(
Brilliant puzzle where the proper way to solve it is to turn the lock instead of the key. Who would have thought?
Beide
Lighter puzzle!
Oh the dilemma between commenting first or waiting to watch the whole video before commenting something clever
Or you could comment only if you have something relevant to say about the video.
He solves the puzzle at 3:28 but spends the next 5-6 minutes acting like he didn't.
The solution is engraved on the body, always keep the key in the presented position.
Propeller puzzle!
Propeller
There are roller bearings so the correct name is ball bearings.
The lighter puzzle
Was I the only one that thought it was pretty obvious that the key was only turning when upright?
I thought it was pretty clear too. The most annoying part of it, though, was him jiggling the key so far backwards that he undid his progress. Even if the key's required orientation wasn't noticed, it should have been abundantly clear that jiggling it backwards was unnecessary after the first time he did it (or the second....or the third.........etc.).

Spin it would be too easy no?
The lighter one
Lighter first
I want that puzzle too please be kind to sponser me 😂
The lighter please next time , take care buddy !
Please somebody help me
Americans say "ball bearings"...you can say whatever you want
😁👍
Put your lighters up
so the solution is not to rotate the key..but the lock
Mrpuzzle Please help me
