Hey everyone! I just wanted to correct myself!
In the video I said dates have more protein per calorie than many other fruits, but what I meant to say was PER GRAM!
    Sorry for the confusion!

One tip everyone needs to know before eating a date. Cut/open lengthwise, remove pit, and INSPECT the inside. Some dates have an ant/small insect inside. Make sure to clean the inside before eating the date. Also, Sukkary means 'sugary;' this is the name of that specific kind because it's so sweet (as if date isn't sweet as is lol).

trying this too, messed up this week. Weight is fine but I was hard on my body when young and feeling it now. When I keep inflammation down through diet I am good.Just a thought, sour dough bread IS GOOD FOR YOU! That is the bread Jesus ate and the bible spoke of. The longest living cultures eat a lot of sour dough.

Today I bought fresh mazafati dates from the Turkish supermarket in our area and it is the most delicious fruit I've ever tasted! Seriously, they are like baklava soaked in sugar syrup and flavoured with rose water, I can't believe nature produces something so sweet, creamy, and perfumed.

I always enjoy your ideas. I started eating dates more consistently after watching your videos. The way I use them most is I make a date paste by soaking dates overnight (450 grams pitted dates to 3/4 cup water) in a pint mason jar. The next morning I dump the soaked dates and water into a vitamix with 1 T vanilla extract, and purée until smooth. I keep the date paste in the fridge and use a heaping T in my oatmeal, with ground flax, ground chia, homemade macadamia cashew butter, and a splash of unsweetened almond milk. OMG, so amazing.

Except for granola needs to be cooked longer than most know in order for it not to be hard to digest. And if you do not get the organic oatmeal, you only get round up in your oatmeal... Which is very unhealthy. Organic oats have less round up spray.. Rinse before cooking and cook one hour.

Dis-sease is caused by acidic foods causing mucus and blockages. Fruits are easy to digest and alkalinizing to the body. However diabetics often need to be treated with fasting before fruiting so that basic systems can begin to recover.
Think of fasting like a cast for a broken bone, only after the bone is set can gentle excercise (eating a fresh fruit diet help)
This all can often trigger detox.
The path back to true health is a journey and not always fun. But oh wow it is worth it.

Really nice and informative. Another delicious and nutritious ideaa; grated ginger and a bit of cinnamon on the bottom of the slit date. Then about a t of peanut butter placed on top and a t of hemp hearts piled on the pb. Then a tiny bit of Himalayan salt to taste. When wanting carbs and shunning fat, use homemade carob or cocoa or cacao paste instead of the pb. I find though that I can never leave off the hemp hearts regardless of what's underneath.

I put a date in my green tea for sweetener....it soaks in there for a while then I strain it once the sugar has come out. Great way to not use sugar. Sometimes I make it night before and let it sit so by morning all sugar has released

I’ve recently started liking (loving!) dates. The trouble for me is I find it difficult to eat just a serving or two in one sitting… I tend to eat 10-20 of them at a time. I know it’s better to binge on dates than Doritos or ice cream, but 😬.

A favorite way to have dates: Almost split in half, covering apple wedges= candy apple dates🍏🍎. Also like to freeze Ajwa dates. They are black and small, so after freezing, they are like chewy hard candy. Yummm🍬🍬🍬🍬
