one thing that carries over from motorcycling is handlebar width, (exaggerated as they are way faster, being assisted by an engine). Look at the handlebars on a racing bike to a trials bike. Slim for fast aero etc on a Racer, Wide bars for better control off road/gravel on a Trials bike.
