I’m 19 & I just saw him live for the first time at Musikfest. He’s so handsome and talented - and classy and humble, which is so rare among performers. I Love his music and his story!!
John is amazing. We both grew up on the East side of Buffalo, both the same age (11 days apart) I am so proud of him, and he deserves all the sucess he worked so hard for! 💯❤
Was Johnny as cool and nice as a kid even teen years. Was he as cool then as he seems now. He seems really mellow and doesnt come across smug or arrogant, AT ALL. He seems really down to earth.
I promoted a show with the Goo Goo Dolls at the OK Hotel in Seattle in the early '90's. At that time, they were a punk band. Long before the massive ballads. Glad they found success. A great band and great guys.
A solid point was made where it’s said that binge-watching films is focusing on the lives of others instead of focusing on your own life. And I think this is even more the case with sports in the present time, as you mentioned. I feel like if society put as much energy into introspection and helping their communities as they do the Dallas Cowboys and the Kardashians, then maybe we’d see more progress.
@@DanSchawbel I would absolutely love to just sit and pick his brain. So many layers and truths. He moves about life speaking, singing and writing from his soul.
John talking about him and Robby falling in love was one of the most poignant, truest things I have ever heard. A wonderful life-long partnership, even if they do (on occasion) fight like cats and dogs. John said the following in an interview with Matt Wake last month (July 2023): "I’m better with Robby than I am on my own, and he’s better with me than he is on his own. Bearing that in mind that sort of tempers the arguments, you know?"
How can ya not love this human being ... he just keeps getting better and I'm so blessed to have had that connection with the music, writing/lyrics and as a vocalist ... I can't even put it into words truth be told.
7:24 "mighta changed the name of the band to something better . . ." Hail no, goo goo dolls is a great band name! In any case, this guy is awesome. Johnny who? Original pronunciation of his last name Rzeźnik is "Zhezh-neek" (zh as in beige) [ˈʐɛʑɲik], Polish for "butcher".

I love that and you are one of his biggest fans and he certainly does deserve it, he is incredible ♥
@@muizemans22 coming from another one of his biggest fans, I appreciate that Bettina. Yes, he really is incredible! 🥰

He's a great guy
John Rzeznik Says: If i could go back in the past, I'd change the name of the band for a better one. This is the best part of interview for me. 💜
Hahah thanks
Thank you for producing this, Dan! Love it! I’m jealous of you interviewing my childhood idol!
Cool interview! They are a huge inspiration to me and so many other musicians as well!
Appreciate it
Wow, I have missed hearing his voice and his thoughts. Thanks for doing this interview!
Thank you for sharing. I love JR ❤️
You got it!
Yay! Rzeznik. I’ve been hearing you in the big box home improvement and pet stores but have missed seeing your face on these podcast interviews.
Love that
great interview, great band. let's go Buffalo
Thank you
John has a wonderful personality. Can't wait to see him in Toronto August 2022.

Super Super Good interview Dan!
Appreciate that
Great interview. Spot the little victory in the whole room painted black. Love it.
Appreciate it
John will never not be an absolute babe!
John is looking more and more like MJ
John is almost 60 years old. He maybe had something done years ago; but he smoked/drank/rocked out. He has vitiligo, a disease that affects skin tone.
Aaaand your song beat them all as far as being the quintessential city of angel's song that first comes to mind when talking about the film.
Thanks for the comment
John is my idol. He’s so cute!
:)
How did this guy get Johnny on his channel???
Hard work and persistence
