You ARE awesome John...and, certainly Robbie, too! Saw them recently in Tampa and Orlando and they are better than ever.
I loved doing stage work for goo goo dolls done so many bands over the years now that I’m out of that line of work I reflect back on those days because of how awesome the memories where I miss it but I love living in the country now and just being a hermit lol
The go go dolls are a gem in the Sea of music ,I am a very demanding listening to music but go go dolls don't lack any elements for my multiple language period culture collection one of the few rock people I can love to listen to. Bravo!
Love, love love these guys!!! Early stuff is awesome, mid stuff is spec-fucking-tacular, current stuf I can't wait to hear more of. I would put GooGooDolls with INXS as one of the best, but most under-appreciated bands of their era. "Prove Me Wrong" to quote a common meme.
On the rapid fire questions, first time listening, based on what I know of Goo Goo Dolls, I guessed all of Rzeznik's responses correctly.

Posted in 2014 but this is from 2013... when they toured with MB. In 2014 the tour was with Daughtry and Run River North.
Plain white t's were the opening act on the Goo goo dolls/Daughtry tour.

Iris is probably my least favorite Goo Goo's song... not only does it have a pretty boring melody line in the verse, then he goes ahead and REPEATS the same melody line in the chorus... so many great Goo Goo songs and this one had to be the biggest hit... I'd be honored if some fans would check out my acoustic piano & vocal cover of NAME on my channel in tribute to the masters. Real live acoustic with no karaoke tracks. Thanks and peace out.
You can't insult one of the most famous Goo Goo Dolls songs then ask people to listen to your cover of one of their songs. I don't think that's the way to go about it
