I use a Bivy bag, for hunting.. I don't recall the nomenclature, I purchased the USMC Bivy bag (used), I swear by it, however I roll it up with a sling, & there's several different names for this roll, ranger roll, hobo bedroll, the concept is old, (recorded history) Inside my roll, Change of clothes socks, & self inflating mattress, sleep bag & wool blanket all rolled into one, other miscellaneous equipment I carried in my hunting vest, I've eliminated the backpack altogether.... I just did 72 hours, last November, 2021 As for animals, we have bears, Mt. Lions, I never encounter either, but the signs of scatt are present, I worry more about Rattlesnakes & Misquitos, in the warmer temps. I use to use a jungle hammock, but for me that became a burden, w/ under quilt, & bag, canopy... I still have it but use for car camping... I would enjoy going out, & supporting your project, but Gas prices have risen so high, I have to budget my outings for other causes, whith that said; Let's go Brandon....
Great video, always good to see someone squared away. Its too crappy here to sleep out that way, but cannot wait to get out again soon. Last trip I had to knock on the head as its was down to -39C and even my wood stove wasn't happy!
Unfortunatly there will always be some people leaving some trash... I think that, like you did, all bushcraft/nature youtube chanel should repeat it, thanks to you.
@@PreparedPathfinder As a guide in the mountain here on Navarino (south end of the world) I see so much trash left by "non-brain-equiped" turists ! And maybe I don't repeat it as much as I should do in my videos...
Always interesting to see how you set up a camp. It's the tips and tricks that make it easier, the shorts on how to set up a tarp have been good, adopted that approach myself now, makes it much easier especially wet and cold hands. Too many out there claiming they are experts but are no more that garden / car campers! Keep them coming. Can you point me in the direction where to get the American bivvy bag as they have a zip which I prefer, I think it was in one of your previous videos ? Cheers in advance.

Looked like it was a good night in the bush. 👍🏻👍🏻 Nobody told me that this was happening. I might have gone and slept outside. Any excuse to sleep outside right? 😉 Although, I gave away my Bivy (Snugpack Ionosphere) about six years ago because I found it just a little claustrophobic. I almost never zip my sleeping bag up past my knees. That pack looks like a good idea. I’ve seen it in other videos. Take care.

Nice video mate, any reason why you would suspend the basha from all 4 corners rather than pegging down one end, what's the advantage?
Situational awareness.
