Great parade! Loved all the horse groups, the John Deere tractors, the bagpipes, happy to see the Native Americans joining in. We used to have something similar in my hometown. One year, I decorated my bike and rode in it. You could do that back then, maybe now too, it's been a lot of years since I've been there and it is a suburb now instead of a farm community. I think almost every business in Cody had a part in the parade. I wasn't able to make it for the judging of the floats, they do that on another day & people line the streets to watch that as well.

My little town puts on a nice one but people don’t have to stake out a space. We don’t have a synchronized mule pack train but do have a pirate ship an old tow truck looking like it came out of a wrong turn movie tows down to the water

Wow! Thank you. My parents went to Cody back n the seventies and took my son as they always did. All they talked about was how cold and windy it was for the 4th! I have to look for the pix. Year probably 70 ? I'll let you know.

I live in a small town in Southern California.....we have a parade so similar.....no pack horses though...that was cool....
No horses, pack mules, but they are half horse!
