Hi Renee - yet again, the look of happiness on your face when you are going through stuff in these storage units. Such fun to watch as you NEVER know what you will find. You and Taco work well together, it's great to watch you both clearing these units. Thanks for taking us along on your adventures. Take care 🙂
It was absolutely a good buy!! You could probably get $10 a piece for many of those Pioneer Woman pieces. And yes, Pioneer Woman is Ree Drummond from the Food Network. Her husband is one of or the largest land owners in Oklahoma. She also owns a Mercantile store, hotel and restaurant in Oklahoma. You and Taco Stacks work so very hard. I admire both of you. Stay hydrated and get your rest. Take good care. Tina
I think you both did very well. You found some quality stuff along with the junk. You can’t go wrong with a $10 unit. Happy treasure hunting and at the flea markets.
That heavy piece of furniture is a late 1930s "Gentleman's Chest". My grandmother had a dining set by the same manufacturer. When she passed, my folks sold the table and six chairs (back in 1956)...but kept the buffet. It held a place of honor in our entrance foyer. When Mr. Offspring inherited the home...I advertised the buffet...yes...in the want ad section...and netted $185 for it...back in 2002. As I don't care for deco...a fine 1928 Jacobean Sideboard now holds the honored spot! Your heavy furniture is just that...of REAL SOLID woods and veneers. I know furniture is hard to sell, store and move...just thought I'd let you guys know the backround of that piece. A vanity...looks like you may have a nearly complete bedroom suite! Disected fr-gs could be in that "mystery chest"! Those drawer organizers may fit into the chest? I see the vanity bench. Wow...I finally spied a fr-g...looking like a deflated plush piece! Can you guess what would be in my storage unit????
Thank goodness there wasn’t a frog in that jar! Though a frog, thankfully an alive one, appeared at the auction I was at & gave me a little scare! I think I got it on camera. Heavy furniture indeed, but made well. I love the art deco pieces, but no room & I’m not even sure they would fit up my stairs, though I’ve seen similar sets at estate sales & one wonders how they got into some rooms! Hope that you had a good weekend! Maybe some thrift shops or nice meetups with friends!
@@PaperandMoose Had a nice quiet weekend...no sales...these are rare events around here...plan to visit a couple of thrift stores this week. That mouse looks like a potential dissection project of a biology student???? I remember dissecting frogs as part of my biology adventures, deceased ones, of course...couldn't do that today!
I love watching you in a storage unit, like a kid in a candy shop, really excited, hopefully get some more units at thate price, looking forward until the next unit buy, take care
I love how happy you get over the good and the weird stuff. One day I know you are going to hit it big on one of these units and it will be well deserved.
This is a great point. Yes, we put in our time and also had some landfill fees, but overall, we aren't spending hundreds & hoping to just break even. I would love to buy a packed unit filled with totes, but one has to remember if you are spending hundreds or even thousands, you have to recoup that first before making any money.
Another good unit which will return your money multiple times. I've read that farmers (used to?) leave the carcasses of varmints they'd shot in prominent places to keep others away - but I really don't think that's what the mouse was about. I'd never heard of Pioneer Woman - is that one of those brands like Pampered Chef or Tupperware which people would get involved in and sell it out of their homes? Congratulations on another winner - you guys seem to know how to pick the right units. Have a great Saturday & weekend & try to stay cool! She knows her Dad - though I'm not sure she's considering the work it might cause her!
Now that's a keychain I haven't seen! You should check out the song "Estate Sale" by Cheryl Wheeler. She captures why estate sales are so fun in a catchy tune. Pioneer Woman is a show on Food Network. I actually just looked her up & she had quite the following from her blog long before the Food Network picked her up. Like other network stars, she also has her own line of cookware. It's funny how her stuff showed up at the Tote Man's the other week & now in our storage unit! If none of the pieces are the big sellers online, then to the flea market they go. I assume they will be quick sellers there!
Maybe the owner of that storage unit bought palate lots. Lots of that stuff was brand new in the box! You and taco definitely got your $10 back on that storage unit😊
Well worth $10! Ice cream trays, what I think I heard, not ice cube trays, made me chuckle 😄. Did you crack the mouse jar open to check for freshness? Perhaps it was canned for later use? Lot of things to sell, Lots of hot work, but after dumping fees, should be a nice ROI 👍👍
At the end the large silver steel adjustable shelf storage rack by the door could probably easily fetch $20-$30 dollars plus the dog crate for ay least $20. I'm guessing the brand new Wii in the box might be $100. Easily make you money back. But for $10 you paid for the " FUN " of going on the Treasure Hunt. In this case you didn't do the " Mouse Hunt "... someone already FOUND that for you ;-)
Pioneer Woman Jadeite Cupcake Stand with cloche goes for 150 plus…I bought one at an antique store thinking vintage but found out it was pioneer woman but worth more than I paid for it so not too bad
The Pioneer Woman collection alone was worth what you paid. Lot of work though. Taco may be right, avoid "furniture" units. Your glee and astonishment over the mouse was precious. Great video Renee.
