Motorhome Driveshaft Gaiter. Boot Clamps. Problem.

  • Common problem on Fiat based Motorhomes with the driveshaft boot, gaiter clip, clamp coming off. It's only a 80p item but a few hundred pounds to fix in a garage. Mind you several ways to fix it can be twisted wire similiar to those used on rubbish sacks or methods shown and talked about in video.

    Thank you so much for talking the time to make this video for me....
    Unfortunately I think I boot is split close to the hub as there is a thin piece of rubber in the hub so as you rightly said at the beginning I've now got to rip it all down... Am nkt looking forward to it but this video is welcomed as I will still need to follow these steps to refit.

    Mine keep breaking the clips. They rub the hub as it rotates.
    I bought the exact same clips and when crimped, even when hammered flat, They still rub the hub and break. There’s just so little clearance when the shaft goes back into the hub.
    The slim line clips are the only solution. 👍
