Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2020 released a new feature called Auto ReFrame which makes it super easy to convert your horizontal footage to vertical footage in just a few clips, and at the same time automatically centers the important parts of your clips and creates keyframes. It's a really impressive feature and makes life much easier for re-purposing footage to post in vertical formats to be used in Instagram Stories, on TikTok, or other vertical format social media channel!

Oh man! this is a cool feature. It even centers the footage. That's awesome. It's such a pain to do this with iMovie. We'll need to get this soon and start playing with it.
It's amazing how much time it saves and how accurate it is! It's not perfect, but in literally creates many keyframes so that throughout the clip the subject stays in the middle!

When I use auto reframe it just flips the video vertical but it doesn't auto analyze the subject to keep it in the middle..
It should! It’s designed to do just that! Maybe try updating to the latest version of Premiere, or try some different clips? Or different settings within the effect
weird mine doesn't let me scale it, it says once auto reframe is applied i can't also when exporting it comes out only highest quality 360p :/

I believe it will auto reframe to any resolution you set!

None that I know of for automatic. This is a brand feature and idea from Adobe.

You will need to export with the proper settings for your new resolution.
