    Man, it's so annoying how these regulatory agencies ruin beautiful cabinets and boxes with their health warnings.

      @@Uno.minimalist yeah shame, i don't know if it's fact but I heard recently it's getting very difficult to find cigar smoking lounges now in most big cities there ...

      @@HabanosChris what cigar lounge? Hahaa never seen one in Canada lol - but in all seriousness, the woke is after this too & then ofc the compulsive urge to plain package it & tax it !! Only plus is cubans available, albeit at a grand premium of prices.

      @@Uno.minimalist a moment of silence for you & my other friends to the North 😔 🙏😚💨. p.s. it shouldn't matter as much as it does, but I 100% completely agree that the plain packaging / replacement bands really do impact the experience for the worse.

    Hi Chris, I love the coco flavor notes that are prominent in the Montecristos. I admire your foresight for stockpiling. Mike

    make sure you age them 5 years to fully enjoy them lol the cubans I have gotten recently were underaged and not fermented enough.

    I love expresso

    • @HabanosChris
      @HabanosChris  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes, i agree. i find many cigars can actually have a subtle expresso type note but then on occasion you find a very rich, intense, more pure flavor of expresso which can be real nice too.

      thanks for watching - sorry to hear this, just curious what was the source of the cigars and how were they stored? I have not had any issues with Montecristo no. 5 myself.

      @@HabanosChris its a luxury store and it was legit because the box looked original and the taste was good. they had them in the dry side (about 60rh). I only smoke new world because everytime I try a cuban (once or twice a year) its plugged and insanely overpriced.

    • @HabanosChris
      @HabanosChris  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@user-rn3kn3lv8f well if it's real, and if it's not over humidified , sounds plugged. I feel your pain - the reputation for poorly rolled/tight drawing cigars is not completely unfounded but sometimes/often blown out of proportion in my experience. But in your experience sounds like you have definitely had poor luck each time (a couple times per year). And sounds like you prefer new world cigars as well 👍

    • @user-rn3kn3lv8f
      @user-rn3kn3lv8f 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@HabanosChris bad luck or maybe I'm used to the new world draw. Only the bolivar belicoso fino I tried had a good draw. I wouldnt mind trying those more often and potentially buy a box or two. I like the cuban flavor, but maybe they roll the petite cigars a little tighter than the full sized ones? Most of the cubans I tried were petite.

    • @HabanosChris
      @HabanosChris  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@user-rn3kn3lv8f yeah, in general there is more airflow with higher ring gauge & some feel easier to smoke in general. I agree with prices being too high and if you are enjoying new world cigars than it seems even more so. Yes, Bolivar belicoso or other pyramids/ torpedos sound like the way to go for you. 😚💨
