When I'm in the woods in upstate Pennsylvania for trout fishing or hunting I see unusual formations on some trees and think, 'Andy Phillip could make something out of that.'

@White Marlin It certainly does extend the experience. I was recently enroute to the New Jersey shore to fish for striped bass and I pass through the pine barrens which are concentrated toward the shore. I caught sight of a few black walnut trees and one had a nice burl that would have turned well on Andy's lathe. I saw a couple of eagles too further down the road and they accelerated at my approach then pulled straight up, showing me those squared-off tails. I took that as a good sign. The bass came in right before sunset and the action was consistent right through the end of civil twilight.

...Andy, can you do me a favour?
Can you briefly hold a soda can in your next video? I always see your hands and I think, 'Jesus, those look massive.... Or is he making something quite small?' So it would be cool to see them against a familiar scale object.
Please confirm or deny that you do indeed have giant hands!!!

That is my favorite piece of art that you've created (and I've watched a lot of your videos). The grain of wood is perfect for that shape, and it's that balance which makes its stunning. It may seem to be a basic piece, but most people have no idea just how difficult what you do is. Along with the other masters, you always make it look so easy. Beautiful!
