@@alpeterson not really about him showing range is it, it’s just that not enough roles are for people who look like him. I’m sure he could do any role, seemed pretty versatile on the show
@@barbaraperry8763 I love him like crazy, but after a while I felt like they had him staying a bit robotic compared to some of the range he had in the first season. Whereas in MQ he’s getting to a very emotional, conniving almost bad character who’s not bad. Pudi gets to be something far removed from Abed and he’s nailing it. That’s what I was trying to communicate.
First season Chang is the best Chang. Period.
Nahh other insane versions of chang were better in my opinion and also comedy style of both the show and chang changed after the first season

It was before the Crazy Ken persona was established so this is just him being a normal guy. Now people expect him to act crazy and zany and so he plays it up. I prefer him when he's more mellow because he's far more interesting that way.
He’s not a Chang or on meds he just Ken here ..
I think he looks a bit anxious. This was earlier in his career of course, so he might not have been used to interviews yet.

Outside of the Gas leak year, the growth and development of that character was amazing. People hate on year 5 and 6 Chang but if you go back, and really give it an honest chance; it’s some of his best work. Grew as an actor and really figured out that Chang role. Good stuff.
There was way more growth in season 4 than 3.
Season 4 was 10 times better than Season 6.
