We saw that same video, And had the same thought, Great, I just pissed away 4,500+ dollars. :(
So, we did our own research and found that "UPDATED" manual online, If i had not have found that, We would have been freaking out still.
(Pecron online presence is almost nothing) Once i found out about this, Just had to make a video for other people so they don't feel the same way.
THERE IS ZERO VIDEOS ONLINE THAT SHOW OR HELP WITH THIS CASCADE THING EXCEPT THIS ONE !!!!!
(And the manual that they send does not even have the cascade steps in it, They said that they were gonna update that)
and if people do not know about that "NEW" manual on their website, How the heck are people supposed to just figure that hidden menu out for themself. That is a recipe for disaster waiting to happen !!!
Pecron's customer service is awesome, But the language barrier is always a problem when trying to explain something like this
So, that is the guy that we were trying to help out but we can not post any comments anywhere on youtube other than this channel
Never used youtube before, I made this channel years ago and just forgot about it. LOL
Believe since we are not verified yet with all the things you have to go through, The system thinks i am a spam account or something and deletes "EVERY" comment i try to post on his video or anywhere else.
Just trying to help folks out with this
Could you do me a favor?
Can you post a comment on his channel saying that this channel can help him right away if he watches the video we made?
Really think it would help all the other people that saw his video like you and thought, Heck no, I ain't buying that thing. LOL

Just went and.told him about your video and hit your like button that should keep it up and the forefront for others to see. Another question.....I believe these batts can also be used separate from the 2000lfp if needed. Does it all have to be recalibrated to reconnect? Also does the unit recognize when you rob it of say one battery? Thanks soooooo much for your help and many others will I'm sure. Yes Pecron has been great as far as contact but the language barrier hurts. Also don't understand how you can produce something like this and not explain it. Crazy!! I'll let you know how it works when I get mine.

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@dinobernardi170 Yes, You can charge each battery from 12-95v with that 5 pin aviator pin that they give you up to 400 watts and then you can use the battery separate if you wanted to at anytime. with USB-A, USB-C, 12v Cig (Barrel Plug), xt-60 or what looks like a 5525 dc circle output. (That is one reason i bought this model) Wanted to buy another main unit and use the batteries back and forth between the house and the rv whenever we wanted. I would just hook them up fully charged when i swap them.
As for grabbing a battery and using it like that and then sticking it back into the same system like nothing happened, Not sure yet, We have only had them for 2 days so far, Still testing the regular functions out, And 8kw is a lot of power to discharge and charge back up, So my testing is real slow because we only have 1 x 600 watt (550 watt real world) charger. And the solar sucks right now, So that is not helping very much either to get these big guys full of power in a timely manner. Wish i had a second ac charger to speed up the process at least a little bit (The charger pulls about 650 watts from the wall and only puts in 550 watts into the battery (apx 100 watt loss in voltage conversion sucks) and my 1,000 watt array of solar panels are only pulling in 100-300 watts at most today because of the stupid weather and time of the year. LOL
pretty sure that the system itself overall is pretty basic as for the power and how it uses it, it kinda feels like just slapping together a bunch of car batteries and using it that way. I mean, That would run just fine until the power is depleted and then you just charge them up again.......It's the power meter that would be screwed up until you re-calibrate it again i would assume. That is why that guys system said 1% left and it was still running like nothing happened because it really does not understand why it is still running, It just does that because it still has power in there to keep going.
Think of forrest gump running, He did not understand why he was running, He just kept running......LOL
So my guess so far would be that it would work just fine, It's the power meter that just would have to be re-calibrated so the numbers are correct.....It does not have all the fancy options like bluetti or ecoflow does with apps and communicating chips and programming and extra stuff like that that really monitors what is going on in there and talking to each other like the big guy system do.
This is the only REAL info i found on the teardown/inside of the main unit with this fella on youtube and he did not have the extra batteries to test or open (and the info on these batteries are almost ZERO on the internet) It's kinda sad that we have the most info on how to do this and we really don't know nothing overall so far. LOL
check this guy out, He rips the sh!t out of the main unit like a mad scientist, THIS is the video that made me buy it. Along with hobotech and others. l like his style, no goofing around and beats the crap out of it and puts it back together and fires it back up. I am a older fella and to me, That is like buying a car and kicking the crap out of the tires. LOL
      th-cam.com/video/06IMCP7v9jY/w-d-xo.html
all in all, We just wanted a huge power bank that we could roll around the house or stuff into the rv and use if we ever needed it, And it 100% does what we we need so far because that is the basic functions of these kind of technology that we wanted. That e2000lfp is awesome for what we needed and works perfect so far
***** just disconnected the second battery just to see what happens while i had a small load on the main unit and it just kept running as normal for about 5 minutes But i am pretty sure that the power meter would just have to re-calibrate after a full charge or full empty again if i drained it down a lot. So that confirmed to me that this system is like a bunch of car batteries slapped together it seems. It will just run until it's dead and not know the difference.
was always just taught to never hook up power sources or battery banks with different voltage for safety concerns or risk of any damage inside because of current spikes. that is why i made this video also so people don't try to stick a 22v (drained) battery and a fully charged 28.7v main/battery together. believe that is not the smartest thing to do.
Overall, It just seems like there is really a simple/basic hookup design to the batteries without opening them up and looking inside and doing a tear down of this system. i wish we had more info for you, but only having them for a couple days so far, and taking soooo long to charge up 8kw of power, We are still at a lack of extra info i'm afraid.
REALLY wish i could get this small info we have with that manual update and small amount of testing info to the big guys that i watch on youtube (HOBOTECH, Will PROWSE, JASONOID, ETC, ETC.....) so they could do a proper test break down. Or would even pay to see that crazy guy rip the crap out of the whole system and do the super duper mad scientist test on it.
Let me know what you learn also when you get yours so we can try to learn together :)

I emailed Pecron support after seeing that one guy's video with his sync issues. I asked them a bunch of questions and they were really responsive. Some additional info they provided me that may help others:
      - All batteries must be within ~10% SOC (State of Charge) from one another before you sync
      - The E2000LFP must be set to the correct Wh number for how many batteries you have. So if you disconnect 1, it might have sync issues and the capacity shown will be incorrect.
      - You can connect solar panels separately to the EB3000s to simultaneously charge them via solar and the E2000LFP, but the capacity displayed may be wrong. But this allows for very fast solar charging (total of 2000W solar which will charge up the 8064Wh very fast)
      - Since the E2000LFP is lower capacity than the EB3000s, it will discharge to zero first, but will continue to run until both EB3000s are drained. So they discharge at the same rate (i.e. if you have a 600W load, each will provide 200W), so the E2000LFP will run out of power first, but that's how it's designed to work apparently, as the EB3000s will continue powering the whole system.
      Hope that helps folks.

Yes, I did forget about that as well, You only need to change "menu 4" Plus, The really nice thing is the "updated" manual on pecron's website has pictures of the default settings so you can always double check your numbers with theirs. The only number that will not match the manual is menu 2 might have a different number, But that is ok, This will re-calibrate the number every time the unit turns on. So just change MENU 4 !!!!!

What they need is a U.S based techs, customer service and marketing team. I WAS thinking about three 12.8 Volt 100 Ah LiFePO4's in series, (~460 watts calculated), input to a solar input, BUT instead of dicking around with this setup, for a few dollars more, well, more than a few dollars, any extra "runtime extension" hookups would ONLY provide the ~ 460 watts in addition to the main units capacity. With the EB3000, the entire 3072 Wh capacity is available at whatever current draw your load is. IF your loading was < ~ 450 watts or so, the feeding of a 38.4 voltage source, (3x12.8v LiFePO4 batteries), would work for you....

Thanks for the video. I have an EB3000 on the way and went through this menu yesterday. My E2000lfp actually has 8 menu choices. I believe #8 is high voltage limit. Have you heard of this? I purchased the E2000lfp in November of 2022.

Yes, You are correct, menu option number 8 is high voltage safety stop
There were 3 versions that we know of that were released.....
      1. Version 1 (What we have in this video) "has 7 menu options"
      110v ac, 65w usb-c, old mppt boards
      2. version 2 has "4 menu options" (has both menus as 1 & 2 but 1 does nothing)
(Pecron forgot to delete this menu when adding the new one)
120v ac, 100w usb-c, new mppt boards (updated for this model)
      3. Version 3 has "8 menu options" (menu 8 being the one that you are talking about)
(Has to do with the high voltage max setting, DO NOT TOUCH THIS)
      120v ac, 100 usb-c, new mppt boards

Yep, Pecron once again did not put that in the manual it seems...
(remember, you have the latest version that we know of when you have the 8 option menu)
According to pecron's email that a scriber received, That is the correct number.
We believe that this is the floating trickle max charge that the system uses to keep the cells topped off. The complete charging voltage to 100% is 28.6v and then it sits at 27.8v max to keep it topped off.

The e2000lfp does not have wifi. (THIS VIDEO)

Press and hold the AC & DC buttons until the wire frame around the battery flashes.
(and then, do not touch anything for 30-60 secs and it turns off automatically)

Hey Bob, as you know I own the E2000LFP and the Expandable battery. I'm considering buying another E2000LFP. It it possible to cascade two E2000LFPs to one EB3000? If not, have you heard if that might be something Pecron would work on in the near future? While the EB3000 is a great battery bank, it's just so heavy and I'd much rather have the functionality of additional E2000LFPs. Any thoughts on this?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      hey Hurdie1 :)
      1. You can use solar panels or the charging brick with that weird looking "5 pin plug" that comes with the e2000lfp to charge the battery into the charging port on the side of the eb3000-24v battery :)
      2. Once you fill the e2000lfp and the eb3000-24v battery separately to 100%, then you hook them together and wait a few minutes for them to balance :)
      3. Then, After you cascade the e2000lfp with the battery, whenever you put any power into the main unit (e2000lfp), the energy will also fill into the battery or batteries as well so you never have to take them apart anymore :)

@@RamblinBobReviews yes I meant RV. What good does 8k of power do anyone if you can’t power anything larger such as plugging in an RV and using the solar panels to recharge. • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  ปีที่แล้ว

This system was never made for rv hookup or use....It was made for a large battery bank for emergency use or overlanding or camping. That is why it was much cheaper than bluetti or ecoflow. It is just a huge battery for storage.
Bluetti AC300 or AC500 was meant for rv users.
It was perfect for what we were looking looking for. All we needed was 110v-120v for my workshop. All my tools are dewalt 20v But I do understand that people need 220v or 30a hookups for larger. But we never saw pecron advertise this to rv users.
We just never needed any more power than what it offered. 8kw was perfect at the time for us.
For almost a year, We have powered a 7cf fridge, A 5cf freezer, 3 large screen tv's all my tools, vacumn cleaner, fans, air conditioner, heaters, 3 laptops, microwave, pizza oven, and all led lights...All from the e2000lfp (8kw system) and 2,000+ watts of solar panels with this device.
(All that at 100% free from the grid or at any cost, All using the sun)
And when we use our rv, We just store it in the back room and power everything we use on the rv (just not through the rv hookup)
We were just looking for a massive amount of portable power that we could carry around with us if ever needed for an emergency or outdoor events or to power our small workshop.
Pecron's new systems have much stronger outputs according to there specs. But we have not seen them yet.
Someone else might have a work around for it, But we do not. Please be careful with electricity.

I just got my E2000 & EB3000. I immediately connected them both and charged. To test I ran a small freezer and a fridge with the E2000 only. They ran for 16 hrs. I'm now testing with the EB3000 connected. I'm at the 20 hr. mark and the cascade light finally came on but the display is misleading and the EB3000 shows 75% remaining.. Should I start from scratch and charge them separately? It seems like the E2000 empties before cascading to the EB3000. Unfortunately, none of this shows in the display. Thanks!!

      Separate them and start over.
Do what the video says :)
Charge e2000lfp and put it aside
charge eb3000 and put it aside
AND THEN hook them together and set the hidden menu......
And then pay no attention to the lights at all, The batteries are on all the time even if the lights are off. We pay zero attention to the lights anymore UNLESS one is flashing RED (over voltage)
Most of the people that have this model on this channel no longer pay attention to the lights :)
ALSO: Make sure that you don't have 2 hidden menus in your model, If you do, ONLY set the menu with 4 options and leave the other one alone because they forgot to delete it when they added the new one.

    • @RamblinBobReviews

@allen Burkacki Did you ever get it worked out, You might have a newer version with "2" menus in it, Try the other solution in the manual to see if you have 2 menus, if you do, That original menu does nothing, You have to set the 2nd hidden menu option.
