    Do you also have to turn off the batteries along with the main system when the batteries are full from solar?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The batteries turn on and off automatically. Leave the system off for a short time and you will see the light turns off as well.
      Then when you turn the system back on, You will see the batteries turn back on as well.

      @@RamblinBobReviews ok good answer. And then turn the main system back on and the batteries will turn on and they will calibrate?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@mrkevin365 Yes, The system will re-sync the batteries when you restart.
      *****NOTE***** pecron e2000lfp was having some trouble with the system sync when you have 2 batteries, So they will have a new cascade cable that makes sure that it re-syncs with "BOTH" eb3000 (green lights on)
      For right now, It seems to only want to sync with the battery that has more voltage in it (green light turns on) That is why they updated that cable

      @@RamblinBobReviews when will those cables come out? Do you know? So is it a good idea for me to wait to buy a battery until that new cable comes out?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mrkevin365 I was told via email from pecron that they should have the updated cables shipped to their california shipping facility by the end of december, And then maybe a week for shipping to everybody that bought these already.
      Should you wait to buy? In my opinion, Yes, Wait until we get all these bugs worked out and then you will not have to do what we did :)
      Long story short, GREAT SYSTEM, JUST NEEDS SOME TWEAKS !!!!!
      P.S. You can always wait until we update this channel with our results to make sure everything runs good first, And then place your order.
      P.P.S. That was the main purpose of starting this youtube thing in the first place. To help help people :)

    Bob, how to fix Error "binding timeout" on pecron 1500lfp ?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Try this :)
      1. Update the app to 1.6 version
      2. Hold down AC + DC buttons until battery frame flashes and try again
      (This resets the wifi)

    • @josephdavila4403

      Unable to connect to app at all. Not even the first try. Tried more then several times but no connect. Binding timeout interference

    Bob, just got my unit today. Was wondering, when charging with the brick... does the Watts coming in go to 0 when its 100% or do you just stop charging when the displays reads 100%?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No, The brick will never really go to "0" because this model has a charge thru feature, So as it uses energy, It is always replaced right away :)
      We always unplug it when we are done charging :)

      @@RamblinBobReviews Good stuff BOB.... My E2000LFP - in stand-a-lone operation charging with the brick, when the display indicates 100%, the charging brick still stays powered on for some 20 to 30 minutes or so then turns off. I figure this running after the indicated 100% is when the BMS is performing a "top end equalization"?? After my first 0-100% discharge/charge cycle, the unit provided a calculated 93.2% and 94.5% "power efficiency" - with two different watt-meters which is GREAT. What is your professional opinion on how/when to fully cycle, (0-100%) to let the BMS perform the equalization? OR, would letting my unit with a ~50% charge state charge fully until the brick turns off, would this method have enough "charge time" to adequately equalize the battery pack?? With IDALIA arriving soon, a FULL charge will be performed and this unit does power my refer overnight ~ 12 hours or so - with only using ~ 50% capacity. Thank you for any opinions you may share....

      We are not professionals by any means, but we have played around with a bunch of this stuff and we ALWAYS listen when smarter people talk about it....LOL....We always just post our opinions :)
      Your ac brick or solar does a complete battery cell balance and final state of charge, and this is why you have that extra time past 100%.
      If you have 20 battery cells total and 15 of them report 100% and then you have 5 other cells that are only 95% because they are unbalanced from the group.....This is why the power meter "THINKS" it is fully charged and it is not done charging yet with the BMS yet.
      (If you ever charge rc cars or drones, You can watch this in real time, It's called cell balancing) (we have 8 cell monster truck batteries, and we can watch all 8 cells fill up separate meters in real time with a smart charger)
      Of what we have learned from watching other smarter people on this subject. The best cycle is 20% to 80% for the longevity of the battery cells. That is why the bigger companies have auto stop charging and discharging options that you can set in the apps to control your cycle amount.
      note 1: Ever notice how most companies say that it can charge really fast to 80% (This seems to be the open hidden secret in the industry)
      When you go past 80%, It slows down to make sure that there is not to much pressure on the battery cells. Like trying to find a seat in a full crowd at the ball game, you gotta look for one ;)
      note 2: And then discharging should be around 20% or so......
      You can always do more either way, But it does take a small toll on those battery cells in the long run (5-10 years) All the way to 0% does the most harm it seems.
      In any emergency, use that battery for every ounce of energy you can get out of it, Because if you don't, You might have a worse emergency :(

      @@RamblinBobReviews Thanks a TON BOB.... I will see how this hurricane Idaila tracks and then decide to let this puppy charge until the brick shuts off. I am thinking that charging to 100% on occasion, (maybe every 2-3 months for BMS balance), is less of a "sin" than using the Sogen until it shuts itself off. I agree a modified usage of ~15-20% to 90% will not overly stress the battery pack and with an overnight refer run only using about 50% of the 1920 WH available, I'll receive a long unit life. At 72 YO, this sumbitch will outlast me 🙂 Thank you again....

    Hey Bob, I have a e2000 and I think my charger just quit working. If i plug it in, it goes green then snaps red and right back to green again. the fan trys to start but then stops. Have you had this isue at all? I have had the unit for about 4 months now and use it daily. This is the first time the charger has done this to me. I emailed Pecron waiting back to see what they say. i hope its under warrenty (the charger).

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not 100% sure, just my opinion, but that sounds like the charger is quickly overheating and shutting down for safety???? very similar to turning on a laptop and it shuts off right away because the heat sink or processor got really hot really quickly.
      Does the charger feel hot?
      Do you smell any weird smells (electric)?
      Does the system still work with solar panels?
      We had an electric bike charger that did that and we had to get a new charger. also had laptops that would do that.

      @@RamblinBobReviews I wasn’t sure due to the 400watt limits. But the charge controller can handle it.?

    • @RamblinBobReviews
      @RamblinBobReviews  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That is the job of a mppt controller and a bms. They limit the amount of power that goes into it :)
      The ac adapter can run at 600w and the mppt controller with just limit the output to 400w,.
      That's the same as a car that can drive 100mph and you only drive it at 60mph (runs a lot cooler and better and lasts longer)
      (Just imagine having the wife in the car with you yelling at you to slow down.....lol)
      YEAH BUDDY !!!!!
