@@colby8104 Hey everyone, found the fucking loser who supports mobile games in chat.
RIP: Destiny Mobile Game
2025-2025
Nah. Destiny mobile will still be good. Cause players that game only on phone will enjoy Destiny.
I've played too many mobile games over the year, not even bungie can fuck this up. not saying the core fans will like it at all though. But it's almost impossible for a well known ip to fail on mobile. Sad state of affairs for sure
People said the same thing about Diablo Immortal, yet it's one of best games on iOS and Android devices, guaranteed Destiny Mobile is gonna be a top game
@@DarkPyroZero best in terms of sales and number of whales paying thousands of dollars monthly to compete with other gambling addicts like themselves, so yes it's a top game for the devs and shareholders, but an absolute shitty cash grab for the majority of the playerbase.
@@BLAPGamesmobile games are good now
The only game I play on my phone is "Ignore call".
More of a "snooze" guy myself 😅
I've been playing a fair bit of door dash lately
I'm currently in the top ten for the North American Phone Tag Pro League.....🌝
I'm a pro at "Turn Screen On to See No New Notifications; Turn Screen Off"
Y'all a bunch of boomers or autists in here. Possibly both.
I don't think that a Destiny Mobile Game is meant to target the veteran D2 players. The same way Diablo Immortal doesn't target the veteran Diablo players.
Precisely
It won't even reach casual destiny fans they are gonna build a whole new fan base entirely to get rid of the shit they put themselves in
I'll try it. I tried Diablo Immortal. It'll get a couple hours out of me for sure. It probably won't make any money off me.
"Don't you guys have phones?"
It was very much intended to want Diablo fans playing it.
Can't wait to watch an ad to get my free raid banner before DPS and to see people spend $$$ on 5 Star SSSR Mara Sov(Swimsuit Edition)
i like the idea
Can't wait to be a god slayer and a gooner slayer
Make that swimsuit Eris Morn and we have a deal.
They'd never share Mara in a slingshot bikini with us
Oh Bungie plz make it full gacha I wanna see the drama that comes from people trying to pull different characters
Yeah. This tracks. This is what Destiny fans really want. Finger on the fucking pulse again.
They were working on several different projects none of those tailored to D2 players. Bungie is clearly trying to leave the destiny community in the past they have just been pretending the last few years to get our money to fund those projects
@@kcisthe1st yeah but who is it for if not destiny players? Like, what's the target demographic?
@@spencerhuckins8197Y'all need to look into how wild and big the mobile game market is, the games prints money on mobile, they don't want the D2 players for this game, they want Mobile Playerbase to play the game, that's the market they are trying to crack.
its not for people who currently play destiny. its for a new audience and getting them into the destiny universe.
@@spencerhuckins8197 anybody on a phone.
When this gets announced, the entire gaming community is going to laugh non stop at Bungie. I wonder what Sony is going to do when nothing they make sells.
As the ps5 out sells Xbox 5 to 1 casually… and as Astro bot sits as a GOTY contender…
Unless your referring to bungie not selling anything and to that I say bungie gets completely absorbed into Sony
i mean everybody laughed at Blizzard and their Diablo mobile game, but from what I've heard it is extremely profitable :/
Honestly, I don't think people realize how profitable mobile games are, and how different (and disconnected from all this "gaming news") that market is
@@sora_2342he meant bungie
I highly doubt it, there is a market for it and people will play it.
"Do you guys not have phones?"
Why tf I wanna play destiny on a phone 🤣🤣
@@kingbx3646 The same reason i play warzone on phone, no skill base and no sweat ass nerd sweating their asses to win a game.
I bought a console to play games on console. If I wanted to play mobile games, I'd DL Pokémon GO! As much as I love D2, I have no interest in playing mobile Destiny, thanks but a hard pass for me! Instead of this, they could've worked on D3!
I do 😊
So sad no one on the coments got it
Lets not pretend that mobile game won't be monetize to hell and back lads I mean with how the monetization works on Destiny 2 imagine how worst its going to be to its mobile counter part.
with the number of whales destiny 2 already has, I see destiny rising being a financial success for Bungie considering the mobile gaming community. There are SO MANY more whales in the mobile community compared to the console and pc communities.
Destiny 2 is not an overly monetized game at all. Nothing pay to win, it’s just armor and emotes that you can buy but you don’t have to. I’ve played almost all of D2 and only spent $50 on a few armor sets and some dope ass weapon ornaments. If you have the money to spend you can dump a ton of money into the game buying all the armor sets and weapon ornaments but you’re not going to be at a disadvantage in the game without them. Other games are a 1000x worse.
Or a.. play without ads for only: $$
@@223ndogAnyone that says Destiny is unusually/heavily monetized has not played any other games, because the only thing you have to pay that affects your gameplay are the yearly Expansions and those bring alot of new content to enjoy, their price point can be debated but it's nowhere near outside of the norm. Everything else on Eververse is optional, and everything eventually ends up on Bright Dust store anyways. In my 5k hours in this game, I have not spent a single dime on Eververse, I always have enough Bright Dust to buy something I want once it's available for BD. I have never felt the need to buy anything from the store. I feel like people just dont have control over their wallets, y'all should play hoyoverse games and you'll realise what actual predatory monetizations are.
@@223ndog no bro you don't understand bro they charge for old relevant content bro and there are cosmetics bro microtransaction hell bro it's definitely worst on the market bro /s
Can't wait for daily login rewards that gives cores and glimmer
no one in the community wanted diablo immortal, regardless its one of the most profitable games blizzard has ever made. may not matter what the community thinks about it
Yep. Who needs to actually make decent games when you can make shit filled with microtransactions and get insane profit. Sad what's happened to the industry.
Difference being that the Diablo name has a phenomenal reputation and competent company behind it.
NetEase and Bungie both have trash reputations, in both their games and companies. People that don't play Destiny still laugh at the game in the industry.
@@ChaperoneKnight Diablo has an ok reputation and Blizzard has a terrible reputation.

No one cares bro. Like stfu and let me try it damn 😂
I agree it sounds fucking terrible
Hot take: i am 100% okay with Destiny mobile AS LONG AS that they keep that shit out of the face of actual destiny players like me. That was Blizzard’s big mistake with Diablo: Immortal. As long as i don’t hear a word about it, they can do whatever they want. Peddle to moms and kids and print 💵💵 for all i care. That moral battle is lost and it makes stupid bank.
Won't be missed
Don't let the door hit your ass
Getting news about a mobile game before any Marathon updates is crazy 😭
Game is 💀 buddy wake up...
No one wants either
I could not possibly imagine a less appealing idea
In a weird universe somewhere, they are getting ready to release Destiny on the Nintendo DS 😂
Do you Guardians not have phones?
Remember how excited The Division community was when Ubisoft announced that!…🤦🏼♂️
Genuinely may have to remind me. Seems like you're being sarcastic, but Division got an announcement to say they're expanding their game world to "The Division Universe" and players seemed excited by that. Granted, they were more interested in the now-cancelled Heartland PvEvP spin off than the Resurgence ("Division 1.5") mobile game, but the idea of the franchise getting more games seemed interesting by the community that's been dwindling quite a bit over the years.
Especially the years where the content stagnated and they reran seasons and the NEW seasons didn't really catch fire.
Whatever happened to that?
Funny how people think the destiny community is what matters when it comes to this. So many brain dead people on their phones they’ll play and they won’t care one bit let alone even know the game existed elsewhere.
If feels like the gaming industry is no longer taking swings on creativity but swings on what will generate them the most income.
it’s almost like they’re a business with shareholders to please instead of an indie studio making a passion project game with 8 hours of content
Well right now, to fund the creativity, Bungie needs income, and Destiny 2 alone isn't cutting it. The mobile game is there to generate money for big projects like Destiny 2 and Marathon.
@@McNasty43 Destiny 2 alone isn't cutting it because they poured funds into like 8 incubation projects that got canceled before they could make back whatever % investment was already spent on them. And because they nuked the dedicated majority playerbase with the slop that was lightfall, while ignoring that the dedicated portion of the playerbase is also the only consistent portion of the playerbase, and also the biggest source of new players through word of mouth. While milking us dry with their previous pricing model, to the extent that they changed it to the pricing model in project apollo.
Diablo Immortal made a lot of money.
Bungie never cared about us.
It's not even developed vy bungie so why care? Free revenue minimum effort. Nothing is good for the community I guess
So its confirmed - Bungie is cashing out by liquidating their Destiny brand equity.
A company from Asia that is part of the board of directors poured 100 million dollars into bungie and is asked to make a mobile game for their market to make an enjoyable game for their mobile audience. And you guys are mad? Everyone act like bungie is making decisions on their own accord.
Everyone act like Bungie has misused our trust and money time and time again. Once bitten twice shy
Its true. Their moves arent their own. Buu it’s still a huge waste of money.
@@Kumari_44 Netease money wasn’t Bungie’s own money to waste but the board member’s money. Because they wanted a mobile game to be made.
@@servitorhosted they aren’t using your money on this mobile game but NetEase money.
It’s going to be full of in app purchases and micro transactions.
Well yeah, that’s all mobile games. Not really breaking any news there
Omg stfu let me try it first
@@ap396zwith the amount of micro transactions they offer in console games, it’s going to be silver on steroids. Bungie is trying to take advantage of destiny 2 addicts and bungie bootlickers
I can see it now, when it comes out people will act like destiny is the only mobile game to have microtransactions
@@YunaMay314 the game isn’t being made for current destiny players. It’s being made for the mobile market, which is SIGNIFICANTLY bigger than PC and console combined. The mobile market is used to F2P games with aggressive mtx. I imagine bungie is hoping for a Diablo Immortal type of success
Another 15 cars to Pete’s garage
...and he'll still be no more Parsonable than he was brfore!
I just want Bungie to make Destiny work with Linux so I can play it on the go on Steam Deck. There’s no reason it shouldn’t be viable!
Destiny probably works just fine on Linux. It's Battleye that's the problem. Linux doesn't work with kernel level anti-cheat software.
I would totally play a tower defense destiny game!!!!
You're the problem
@@moopersworthninjason42nd81No, Bungie leadership is. That person is just saying what they'd find fun to play.

Cross, candy crush uses some of the same psychology that casinos use to keep people entertained. Difference being candy crush is far more accessible than a casino.
you don’t have to go to a casino, you don’t have to play candy crush. it’s your own fault if you get sucked down the rabbit hole
@@MeatyTundra i agree, i dont play any of those games, but the fact is theres an entire demographic of people who do and games like this prey on those people. Theres alwasy a choice for sure but whose to say those people are addicted are aware of that fact?
If Bungie Devs take into consideration what has happened in gaming in 2024, and dont make the same mistakes,, they will be ok.. Lets see if a lesson was learned
what do you mean devs its just higher ups. devs rarely want to make games that are just cash grabs they dont get any money from it the higher ups get all of it. they are just told to do it and if they dont they just get fired
I'm not being funny buddy but the devs don't get to choose.
@@GorehowlBeardhead its unfortunate because they are the ones to take the hit if numbers aren't met
Cautiously optimistic just cause apparently its gonna way back in the dark ages, im just interested in what fashion they can make when Max Hobo Drifter is scurrying around
It's funny to see history repeat itself; Diablo Immortal went over like a lead balloon when it was announced. "do you guys not have phones" and other fun things. Only one small problem: Diablo Immortal made 500 million dollars it's first year and continues to generate revenue. I have a feeling this game will do the exact same thing.
I can imagine a top down rpg to lend itself much better for a mobile game than a first person shooter, though.
@@SandyButchersmobile games are not about gameplay, they are about addiction
I'll bet Sony is regretting paying 3x what Bungie is worth about now.
It would be cool if it was a companion game to destiny where you could earn things on your phone and use them in game on console/pc. Kind of like earning a pve gun and taking to pvp or visa versa
Brooooo fr, like a dumb pokemon go clone where you can walk by other player's ghosts, and it gives you glimmer and enhancement cores n shit
And maybe even like little puzzle cards that give you exotics when you complete them.
(Bungie) Thank you Destiny players for all your support instead of investing in D2 (PvE/PVP) we have decided to use your resources and your invested time to do other things that’s not related to D2.
I think yall are misunderstanding that Bungie only provided the license, the game itself was developed by Netease. Unless I’m mistaken?
Here lies destiny. 2014-2024

Imagine we get (LEGENDARY) Oryx, The Taken King (5 star) with Osmium Taken Sword (5 Star) on 4% drop rate banner
I didn’t think I could love Cross anymore, but here this man goes telling me he loves Kingdom rush too 😁🔥
bungie is not interested if the current destiny community asked for their new mobile game, Bungie is interested in the new player base they can make and with that the millions of dollars they will take out of them, just like blizzard with immortal and Activision with cod mobile and warzone mobile
Also Plot Twist, it's not a mobile game and Bungie "accidentally" leaked false information to publications to get everyone's spirits down, then they reveal it's a main title on console and PC
Not sure why some console/pc gamers keep thinking that mobile games have anything to do with them.
Good sir/madame, you never were the target for this.
Mobile gaming is bigger than PC and consoles together, your opinion does not matter.
What about you?
Mobile gaming is mute tho which is why they profit so well cuz they don't have to rely on making a actual good product
I hope it's destiny 1 as a mobile game. That game was a classic experience
Lol i tried closing the ad...fml
Watch this being the first and only destiny game on the Nintendo switch
Recognize that the mobile game market is massive in countries in Asia
my smooth brain trying to get the annoying internet ads off Cross' TH-cam video.
Here's a theory: it isn't for the veteran destiny 2 community. It's the answer bungie wants for which demographic to focus on; bringing new players, or focusing on the existing player base that's been there from the start. Oh new players are feeling left out because further expansions focus on destiny 2 veterans? Well new players now have a mobile game catered to the casual playerbase.
They just need to make an insane linear campaign set in the dark age where you play as warlords and iron lords. Literally play the twilight gap as the 6 light bearers that defended the wall (which includes Shaxx)
Never in all my 30+ years of gaming have I ever seen a game dev less familiar with its own audience than Bungie
The audience you are speaking of doesn't matter anymore because they moved on to other games. Bungie is going to build a completely new audience with the mobile market. Bungie has no obligation to try to only keep making content for an audience that hates the game.
it’s almost like they’re making games for a wider audience than you
We have like 28 codenames now. And still not a clue on what we’re actually getting.
Destiny Raid Shadow Legends????
" Do you guys not own phones? "
I might have hit a new low of fucks given for Destiny and it’s a little depressing…
Candy crush is for the sheep, any destiny player can hop on candy crush, but candy crush players would struggle with a vanguard strike🤷🏼💕
A wise man once said "untill i see gameplay its a card game".
He isn’t thinking as a Destiny fan. He’s thinking as a streamer when he says no to a MOBA game
I'd rather have a MOBA-style "mode" added to Destiny 3. :)
Sup Cross, Paul Tassi was saying during his video about this subject that there was a reliable report that Destiny Rising is going to be a prequel to Destiny 1.
The Bungie acquisition has got to rank as one of the biggest mistakes Sony ever made
I'm just surprised this video wasn't stretched out over 10 minutes
Come on bungie you could’ve saved all that money and put it INTO THE GAME YOU ALREADY HAVE PLAYERS ON
Destiny Rising would be the perfect name for an actual Prequel game.... What a shame
What are they chances they create Destiny 2 in-game rewards that are tied to playing Destiny: Rising? Grab your phone, play as Zavala and go earn an exotic, then in Destiny 2 you can buy/earn that exotic from Zavala?
if they made a card game for destiny i would be so addicted to it
"mom can we have Destiny 3?"
"we have Destiny 3 at home."
Destiny 3 at home:
If destiny rising does come to consoles, and or you either play as the warlords of the dark age or people tied to the warlords of the dark, or even some proto iron lords, that might be interesting....it would honestly even be interesting if you played as a proto Hawthorne or like Proto Hunters/Titans while being lightless....I'd be down to play as a survivor during the opening years of the Collapse and you're just trying to survive and/or make your way to the last city....perhaps even making the ultimate sacrifice towards the end, and the end cutscene reveals you being resurrected as one of the first light bearers before cutting to black.
The biggest downside of it releasing multiplat is that it would still be monetized like a mobile game. DOA
"Dont you guys have phones"
I figured the mobile game would be us terraforming our galaxy and the rewards would be materials for the main game.
Apollo bringing a new enemy type and they actually look interesting
Hmm so you guys are saying that you don’t have any time to commit to an extension of the Destiny universe on your phone? My hope is that it makes them bank and they can then fund D3.
Whether we wanted it or not, bungie is making a mobile game.
If the mobile game can somehow gain bungie new guardians, and a separate audience which brings in money for D2, I’m all for it. 100%
Sony/Bungie/Destiny about to give us something else we didn’t ask for.
You know what, I kinda hope bungie gets fully swallowed by Sony, I’ve lost faith in the company.
I personally would play a mobile raid shadow legends style destiny game with heroes. I like mobile games as a time killer while I'm waiting on school runs, taking dumps, just filling a void between stuff or even loading screens.
It's gonna be at TGS, I'm calling it now.
imagine this, a tower defense game set during Twilight Gap and the end goal was to hold out until the end of the assault with saint - 14. You would have redjacks to control as well as placing units and other guardians around the battlefield, of course there's other tower defense goodies such as turrets ect. If you get defeated it says something along the line of "your reality has fallen to darkness/your reality has become the apart of the darkest timeline" us the MC could be working with Elsie as a way of explaining the wipe message and seeing other timelines she had influence in. That and expanding on it being a tower defense game after winning the twilight gap, it can show random out of current lore of minor defensive battles for Golden age equipment etc.
Bungie where given money to make a mobile game. They are going to do it no matter of the circumstances
There was already leaks telling people that the game was already ready for a while now and the play style is going to be just like destiny. So the game play is already there and for people who think phones cannot run something like that. Warframe and many mobile shooters already are out. They said the only problem they had was the time oriented matches most mobile games are 10ish minute sessions where pc games usuallu 30-1 hour
That's not the Arknights collab I had in mind, Bungie.
I’m looking forward to the mobile game honestly would be nice to be able to play while on lunch at work or something
They can "Viper" this NUTS! dohoho~
They made a deal with the Canadian Devil.
If it doesn't connect to destiny 2 or have an incentive bring D2 players it'll be a failure
My Xbox Series X can barely handle Excision with 12 players… So unless the mobile game deliberately uses original Xbox era graphics to reduce the strain, I can’t see how people would play that WITHOUT their phones all becoming Samsung Galaxy 7’s.
It were Note 7 if i remember correctly. But damn real "exploding pager" vibes rn
@@doktorsmiles2034
Ah, you saw those too today on the news… The Middle East seems like a “FUN” place these days.
I have a feeling that everyone will complain but everyone will still play anyways
Bungie will do ANYTHING but actually invest into Destiny 2
While I can't say it's a guarantee, I'd be stunned if it's on consoles too. With Destiny's numbers floundering, I highly doubt (at least at launch) Sony would allow a console spin off drawing even more numbers away from their base game on consoles.
Imagine a sexy banner trailer for Mara Sov Beach Edition. Completing Riven's Lair's Badge in D2 would grand a 20% progress towards the Beach Edition because the rest needs to cash out through gacha RNG.
A Destiny tower defense game would be ironic considering the probably cancelled collab with Arknights
At this point i think theyre destroying Bungie on purpose for a tax write off
When they mention mobile it may be talking about cloud streaming
