Wow, your comment just came full circle to me today. I've just had legitimately one of the HARDEST weeks in my life...and just when I thought it couldn't get ANY WORSE, it did😢. And rn I'm in tears reading your comment, because I'm missing my mama too rn, and I don't know if you've ever read: Alexander and the Terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day~ but my mom used to read that book to me & it was 1 of my sons fave books & I read it to him as a little boy. Your comment just reminded me of those memories; so Thank You❤
One hundred years from now, that mother board will be as exciting to a mudlark as Victorian glass is to you today! We are living in history, just are not dead enough to appreciate it !
Alex, I’m just amazed by your talents…to do so many different things, and so well!!! The silver casting and other techniques that you use with making jewelry, the way you skillfully made the little ink pot from a lump of clay that you found on the bank of the creek, setting the blue glass in silver, I could just go on and on! Not to mention the video filming and editing that you do for the channel. You’re absolutely amazing!! Of course, you have such a wondrously gifted mother…a true artist! So, yes…Claire! Where do I start? Glass working, making beads, setting treasures in jewelry, making the little Northern Mudlarks brick from a piece of the same little lump that you helped Alex grab! And those antler carvings!!! They literally made me gasp! They’re stunning!!! The two of you are incredible! I have the tools gathered, and set up to start learning how to solder metals for setting cabs for jewelry! So excited about learning a new art skill as an artist. I’m a watercolorist. I’m not a professional, but I am trying and learning! Would you mind if I try to paint Scotland…using some of the images in your videos for subject matter? Please let me know! 😃 I’ve wanted to see Scotland, I’m sure I had ancestors there (my maiden name is Kennedy). I can’t go, but I’m getting to see it through your videos! What a blessing! Thank you, to the two of you, for inspiring me to go further! And thank you for sharing these beautiful videos with us all! Blessings, Jacqui ❤️
Grolsch is a Dutch light beer, you could get in Oregon some years ago, before they had some kind of trouble's with distribution. We still have the bottle's from the few we bought, as they make perfect containers for our homemade vanilla, which we make using vanilla beans and high grade vodka. Their lovely resealing bottle top with rubber seal makes it perfect for reuse. I thought your charms were simply charming, and it was a delight as usual to see the treasures you found and how you used them. I adore the golden periwinkles and wish we had them here too. They are so sweet and like little golden drops of sunshine. The history you discover is so very interesting. It is amazing what can be found from such tiny objects. Thank you so much for going to the effort to bring us these nuggets of history. It really broadens our understanding, and makes the pieces that much more interesting.
I loved your video all the charms are delightful and of course getting to see the kitty who is so adorable. 2 and of course the lovely silly birds love you girls peace Julie
Love all your videos so educational and fun to watch. Like being there....and I enjoyed learning the jewelry skills you use...But most of all I enjoy watching all the memories you two are creating together. You only get 1 Mom, and your time together enjoying the days are so precious. Thank you two for all you do..... your videos are getting better and better.
Your music is always a rare treat, Medieval instrumentals have always been a favorite of mine. Stay safe girls and thank you so much for sharing your adventures with the rest of us. The CAT has your missing marble.
I’m a musician and your music absolutely gives me chills! I’m a Celt but an American. I long to go across the water to visit my ancestors’ land. Your music soothes my soul.
Dear Ladies, I have seen Marbles on every Beach in the UK. I think its comes from heaven 🥰🥰🥰🥰 I miss you at etsy. Ps: the Shellfish looks like little "barilla Nudeln" i am hungry
I'm not sure why I enjoy the making part at the end of the videos so much, but I really do. They are very similar, but that's somehow relaxing and comforting. If they are making a silver-wrapped pendant, for example, I start to anticipate which sounds are coming next because I've gotten so used to the process. Seeing the end result is more satisfying as well when you've watched the work and artistry that went into creating it.
I always enjoy watching the two of you turn the things you find into beautiful jewelry. I love the music that you add while making the jewelry, very relaxing to watch. Thank you for the video.
Awesome video ladies, I would love to live in that abandoned building/ hotel and do it up for permanent living. Those charms you made were also beautiful and will make some stunning jewellery pieces. God bless and stay safe and well, much love from Western Australia 🙏🙏🙏🙏🥰🥰🥰🥰👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️🌸🌸🌸🌸
Love your vlogs .you and your mam are so good at making jewelry .it is so nice to watch you working together.please keep making the vlogs.tina Ireland..
Beautiful....Maybe one day you could make a wind chime out of those shells when you collect more...They are such a beautiful colour....Your work is lovely as always
I collect the golden periwinkle shells here on the coast of Maine. I use them in my sea glass art to make baby chicks 🐤.. and that's how they got their nickname chicken shells in our house. Loved the video so much I'm watching for the second time🥰 Thank you Ladies!!!
Those winkle shells would make such a beautiful necklace, yellow, orange and brown would look gorgeous, I can just picture it with shells dangling from your ears. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful country the wildlife and flowers, mountains etc. I want to see Scotland. Had to edit, my Father use to cook periwinkles for us to eat and all the kids in the neighbourhood would come and try, never see them here now in Canada anymore
Beautiful work, ladies. Proof positive that the Northern Mudlarkers are charming the internet. BTW, at the exact moment I was watching the first peck of aswhooval, my cat added some performance art by nipping my ankle demanding breakfast. I could have sworn I was getting pecked by a shwoo. It was a mixed media experience!
I know lockdown sucks and stuff. But at least you ladies have tons of crafts that you can work on while you're sadly blocked from going out and mudlarking. I know I enjoy watching you make things out of your finds so others must like it too!
I love watching you make crafts as I work on my cards. It is so nice sitting here with your videos playing right behind my cutter. You both do such beautiful work.
The land is so pretty...very particular finds for you ladies...I got my second covid 19 vaccination. Even though nothing changes the danger of covid, I feel as if atleast I have done my part towards future herd immunity...it's better than nothing. Thank you so much ladies for your helping me get through my life. I am so glad to see your videos. If I was rich I would do what a patreon can do, and that is help you to continue in your larking. I have learned so much from all the MUDLARKERS but when I watch you collect, relate, and create, it just inspires me.
I love your "hounding" videos!! Your pottery finds are amazing!! That agate is STUNNING!! I love your soldering techniques. You might want to make them single videos, for people that want to learn those techniques. Thank you for taking us along with you!!
Have you thought about making jewelry from fishing weights? Cast or plated? Limited but enthusiastic market I would assume? What do other viewers think of the idea?
The two of you are so clever and it is a joy to watch you work.I have gotten all my different craft m materials together and have started working on things again. My hands are not happy about this but I am. Thanks for yet another reason for you to do what your doing.i never miss your adventures.
Wonderful...brilliant...fantastic...okay i think you know what I'm saying lol...great video yet again! and B..E..A..UTIFUL jewellery...mini mexican wave to you both...keep it up! Thank you 👋😊
