Since Dodge has graced the automotive world with the Hellcat, they have steadily upped the power output and put this insane 6.2L Supercharged V8 into more and more absurd platforms. While the Demon and RAM TRX may be the craziest versions of the Hellcat, the new widebody Redeye models certainly bring an ample amount of supercharged madness. I had the opportunity to spend a week with the new Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye Widebody, which brings widened fenders for even more tire, more power and torque and the title of the world's fastest production sedan. RWD only, the Redeye never stops accelerating, and is a tire smoke machine. This practical family sedan will literally do burnouts on command, even with traction control on. I just bought a new 2022 Scat Pack with the 392 engine. Such performance. 0-60 in 3.5 seconds but also just sips the gas with cruise control set in 8th gear and at 1350 RPM running on 4 cylinders. I'm getting 30 MPG. Such perfect engineering and performance. Very comfortable with the new NASCAR type bucket seats that wrap around you. Dodge is making a terrible mistake going to batteries in 2024. You know the old saying: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Yes. I replaced the first set of tires at 6k miles and 2k miles into the second set, im already looking for a third one. Fun cars for sure, not the fastest, but fun as hell, and expensive

Great video… i actually sold my hellcat, kept ny scat pack and bought a 2021 m550. The hellcat and scatpack literally was the same quickness cuz the hellcat cant put the power down.. i even put Michelin Sport tires on em and still couldnt grip smh. Plus i NEVER did over 150 mph so having a hellcat was completely pointless to me. Plus my m550 is way quicker than both off the line 🤣 i love it

At higher elevations the HC is the way to go due to the significant power loss of an NA engine at altitude in the SP. I test drove a SP (living in the Denver area) and was very disappointed but willing to bet it would be awesome closer to sea level. All about your situation and priorities though and seems like you found what you like!
All you need is some Toyo R888r's and it will change your entire driving experience. Those tires made me keep my Redeye.

I was just talking to my buddy yesterday about this. If Dodge would quick fucking around with their car platforms and use the durango or trackhawk drivetrain in these chargers and nuke the competition. These rear wheel drive stuff is cool and all but let's be real these cars cannot put the power to the road effectively at all. With an already proven awd system they would obliterate 90 percent of the vehicles that pull up next to them at a red light. Not to mention that being in just rear wheel is already an option for the awd SUVs. They need to quit fuckin around realize that everything they need is already there and tested. The ghoul has to be the dumbest idea ever unless they switch to awd

People forget the charger is made best for roll racing they was obviously the most dominant during the Daytona and the hemi engine got banned due to it being an unfair race beating all the cars every time, the challengers are the ones that will do less spinning from the start line because they are stock drag race gods & chargers are stock roll race gods
It’s easier to get a charger to hook from a standstill because it weighs more. So it’s actually the opposite. The charger weighing more puts more weight on the wheels allowing the wheels to dig into the ground more and essentially “bite” the ground.
Shit still gets smoked, even in a roll by BMW Comp Vs, Audi R8, Acura NSX+.....797 HP and I gotta be rolling to even stand a chance.....yeah right👎🏿 AMERICAN MUSCLE TRASH!

This is my 4th or 5th time watching video I just love this red-eye cars they are like a blessing and a curse but a vehicle we can all appreciate I know I want a hellcat just not sure whether to get the Challenger or the charger but due to the fact that I do have a child and I need another four-door vehicle the charger will probably be my best option

Man, I'm right on the cusp of getting one of these, but the gas mileage. Not that it would be everything, but my other car is a 66 mustang light resto. Thinking maybe just getting a kia stinger and dropping a bunch of money in the 66 and making that get 5 to 6 hundred hp. 2 muscle cars might be a bit much. But dang... that redeye. I keep going back and forth, lol.

When you see some RS7 in the mirror you ll know this is only a Dodge.
I’m blessed to own both, so I know better. The RS7 will START the 1/4 mile first, end the same 1/4 mile LAST, then if you add AWD and ceramic brakes on the Dodge if the worst you want to do is tie an RS7 in a best 2 out of 3 on the ‘Ring. Also, the RS7’s 400+ pounds heavier. Only a Dodge ??? Try again.

Couldn’t agree more. I have a 2019 Dodge Charger Scat pack Plus and I daily a bmw 328i and get 28 mpg. My scat pack was my daily till I couldn’t take it anymore lol. 20 bucks a day to and from work which is only 2 miles from home was not good.
