    I realize that last week running e40 for the first time maxed out the hpfp at 6k rmp I got a CEL for low fuel pressure, older pumps don’t like higher ethanol. This video is just what I been dealing all week lol if I find the issue with this pumps I will let u know . This Cars start pulling a lot of timing when you running out of fuel . So make sure you don’t melt your cylinders . . Awesome video like always , probably next is making sure your injectors have the correct flow .

    Did you replaced the hpfp cam follower when you did the upgrade? I noticed when I did my pump that the cam follower was in pretty bad shape at 85k. Just a thought.

    I'm always concerned about the plug gap being too large and the boost blowing out the spark. But plugs are new so idk. Maybe tighten up the gap a bit anyway

    Which spark plugs and gap are you running? I am running BKR8EIX at 0.026-28 gap with stage 2 single pulley, it cleaned up my logs compared to the stock plugs at stock gap.

    May be a dumb question, but is there a reason you don’t add octane booster for timing pull?

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Octane booster isn't good for your car. It corrodes your spark plugs. With the perfect blend of ethanol and pump gas I was seeing no ignition correction.

    Its interesting that you say the LPFP should be around 4800 hpa. That's where mine is while I'm cruising. It tops out at 6k + when I'm at WOT on a E40 blend. 4800 still seems low to me.

    • @VancityAudi

      I don't say it should be 4800hpa. I say that the lowest it should get during a WOT pull is 4500hpa.

    My money is that it is something with the IE tune. If not there it is a issue with fuel injectors. Likely best to take them out and get them flow tested and cleaned. Another thought is that the higher Ethanol could have loosen some crap in the fuel system causing a clog at any point in the fuel system.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This has absolutely nothing to do with the tune, lol. It is a hardware based issue. We have continued to dig in and have found other issues already which will be shared in future videos.
