  • Marc Márquez looked to be on a roll and almost unstoppable at times, yet Britain's Scott Redding was having none of it as he battled the Spaniard to the flag in front of his home crowd in Silverstone's Moto2™ race in 2012.

      EdDiMe17 So brakes, suspension, exhaust system, wheels, tyres are the same.

    • @EdDiMe17
      @EdDiMe17 8 ปีที่แล้ว +29

      no, of course each team also works on that, but the point is that after every race the engines are retrieved from the bikes and by raffle are distributed again so to make a better bike is up to every company working on it and not just how much power the engine can have

    • @mateagoston7113
      @mateagoston7113 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      EdDiMe17 Hmm, I don't really understand it. I think the right way would be if MotoGP would have greater engineering freedom, and Moto2 would have totally the same bikes, just like in Moto3. But if you can develop the bike, but just really little then it's waste of money.

      +Hotdin Gurning the marc vds rc213v redding was on for 2015 wasn't an open bike it was a satellite bike with magneti marelli electronics. the factory honda bikes use factory electronics. factory electronics are so much better and was a must for the honda's very, very aggresive 2015 engine. another problem with reddings 2015 bike was the 2015 chassis he and crutchlow, marc and dani were using. of course marc switched to the 2014 chassis at the assen race because he noticed that although tyre life was better, it was unforgiving if he made mistakes and only he and dani could make that change because factory riders are the only ones that can do that. redding and crutchlow had to accept what was given to them for 2015 and just deal with it. the only riders's with open class honda bikes were nicky hayden and jack miller. i hope that clears up the confusion.. so yes 2016 will be a very interesting year where a lot of riders will have a chance to step up and all riders for 2016 will be using magnetti mirelli electronics and michelin tyres.

There was a big cheer when Scott passed Marc coming into the chicane going down the hill, then everyone held their breath when it looked like Marc was going to go back in front (or take them both out!) at the last bend. You know how lucky marc when he jump to motogp.. I mean, he fought with pol and reading in moto2, but in motogp pol and redding got a satellite bike in satellite team, while marques got a repsol honda..
    Didnt mean to say that marquez not good enough, in fact he is a very talented rider and so fast and so smart..
    But motogp is not like moto2..
    If you not in a 'strong' team, you'll not be a world champion..

    Two things I want to say....
    The first: If all the riders could have the same bike we will see for sure a real race with the real brave riders whit more talent that probably will win.
    Second thing is that Marc marquez is a rider that thanks to his bike he always take distance and win, but let's talking about one vs one, all the battle that he did he always arrived behind his rival in the races, so let's give the same bike to all the riders like the red bull rookie cup.
    (vale Rossi 46 forever!)

      You know that competition. Even monotype bike aren't same. Because that's human kind !!!!! That's racing !!!!!!! You want to have the best tools. Sometimes in monotype category there are a lot of excess because you have to test A LOT to gain 1 tenth. You have to test every single part of the bike because potentially everything can make you a bit faster and every thenth is very hard to gain. So you some rich team buy 50 engines and test every single one to find which one is quicker ( stock ) than others. That's the reality.
      For me monoclass is the best way to compete in racing and to truly know which driver is the best BUT you have to push the idea till the end. I mean, stock bike for everyone from the begin to the end + No test possible between races + bike locked at constructor factory between races.
      When i drove karting class we saw a lot of abuses with monotype categories.

      Marco Napolitano You must be the guy at crash.net that goes by VR46r, and post sycophantic posts about Rossi and thinks Marquez only wins because of his bike, you are such a tool.
