I would always ask what that was when I was little (usually in reference to Beatles songs probably,) and people would always tell me it was a sitar. It was many years later that I finally learned that a sitar sounds more like a typical string instrument, and the thing that makes that awesome magical droning buzz is a tambura.
its a tanpura. I have one. its. essentially the bass version of the sitar. the sitar plays the melody and the tanpura plays the raga drones in the background.
I have noticed, allot of people do not like the way the lyrics are spoken/sung. They miss the mantra kind of part, I guess. Also, with enlightening music like this, it stirs something in them they would rather not. It is like being touched inappropriately. lol
some aren't "ready" to reveal their inner "true" self yet..still locked in the egg shell of the false EGO...but SOME are ready to break out of the shell and FLY!!! The only way OUT of this mess is to go WITHIN...joy +bliss await the ones who persevere...not many are willing to investigate the deeper truths of life...but the lucky ones who do... have found what everyone is else looking for....namaste.
