    That machine sure is impressive. Has the brute force and traction of a dozer, but the comfort and agility of a skid-steer. What a beast. Excellent video as always.

    whole new architecture, quite original, new jack of all trades, master of most, well thought out, seems to anticipate operator needs.

    I have been looking at all the videos I could find on this machine and still not quite convinced.. the price is steep and while I get that it's a lot of machine for the money it seems like you's still be better off with 2 separate dedicated machines. And that's coming from someone who works mostly alone and I like having swiss knife tools... my tractor and excavator are both as equipped with implements as I could to make them more versatile. Thanks for taking the time to film and share it all!

    Funny you mentioned about the passer-by who just stopped and looked, without rolling the window down, because last night my son and I discussed that topic. Around here, the "stop and chat" thing is much more common than the "drive by and look" and he told me when working right by the road, this time of year, with only 10 hours of daylight or so, he'd like the way that guy did it better. Otherwise, a "one-day job" sometimes takes a day and a half, and if it's someone really "chatty" it make take a week!😁 Enjoyed the video and watching that machine, I've been curious about them since I heard about them a month or so ago. Thanks!

      29 patents cover this machine. Deere has a 333G Smartgrade with their own version of a blade. It does not lock into the chassis, and is more limited in operation than this. They designed that after seeing the prototype at ConExpo 2017. If they could have gotten around the patents, they would have copied it. So, it might be a while before you see any similar competitors. Case IH owned the patent on the Quadtrack tractors, and Deere didn’t come out with their until after the patent expired.

    That Case and the dozer attachment is really good, I think it's definitely ideal for doing access roads and those metal tracks certainly help, especially with grip when you're trying to push over a tree. Like you say visibility for a skidsteer is really good, plus like the rear camera, very useful. Nice instructions on uncoupling and coupling.

    I am impressed with that machine, with steel tracks I would think this would work well for a guy who has a small operation or a homestead. Yes sir, if it gets by the Captain Kleeman test, it has to be a tough machine, maybe you should change to Colonel Case!?!?, whatcha think?? Excellent job for your first time out with the machine sir, thanks for the ride along.

    I can promise if I was over that way and saw you guys working with a Minotaur I would 100% stop and talk and watch. No way would i stop and then just drive off.
    Lots of guys on TH-cam and elsewhere have said there’s a bit of a learning curve to this machine like a week or so but seems like you’ve caught in really quickly Capt. That thing has some serious power, saw some over in Louisville at the trade show in October and they were impressive, but it’s all together more impressive “in the wild”. Hopefully we get more of this Minotaur.

    It's like the mutitool you didn't know you needed until you used it. A mix of an older mini tracked loader and a skidsteer except you could probably finish grade a lot better in the case compared to a tracked loader

  • @darrenblattner2508
    @darrenblattner2508 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Thats an interesting machine, it certainly looks well built and appears quite heavy. I guess this is why it pushes so good but the tracks are wide enough so it holds up very well. I'm not a fan of all the electronics but everything is going that way, as for now it's quite impressive. The ripper would be handier than one might think. Keep smilin Mike.

    If the guy/gal looking to start a business similar to DP., (but on a smaller scale), this might be one piece to have, just for its’ multi-role/versatility. Steel tracks might be a drawback, but have to be factored in (be in the back of this buyer’s mind) to take full advantage of its’ dozer strengths.
    DP., having one of these can only be a plus., and then he only needs to weigh the cost of adding that asset to his fleet.., and I think he has some other things “cookin” that might have a higher priority.
    Great video,
    Thank you sir.

    Case works well, I like the combination of steel tracks & dozer blade, A bit of messing about to remove the blade but with it having steel tracks, It's going to spend most of it's life off road. It'd be ideal if you could keep it solely fitted with the blade & a rubber tracked machine for the bucket. All in all it's a great piece of kit.

    • @george200099
      @george200099 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The TV620B is just what you are looking for.... and has a 6200 lb ROC, but no ability for the integrated C-Frame Blade. You can also get rubber tracks on the Minotaur as an option. If you watch other reviews of the Minotaur with the rubber tracks, you'll find people are surprised how much it can push even with rubber tracks,
