Played so much UW in the past year that I just recently started playing Jeskai, just adding lightning helix and 1x chaandra for late game. But this is an amazing addition! Z&O feels so so good
Nice. I play UW control a lot, with a ton of counterspells and exile effects. Still if I didn’t have the right cards at the right time and the double counterspell this could definitely get me too. I think I played against Z and O once before but didn’t notice its true power since I was able to counter it. The way it is hexproof and draws card makes it kinda like dream trawler, except even better since they can’t wipe it on their turn.
I used to play a similar list before Caverns came out (more Emperor, more Deluge, some white March and Sunset instead of the new cards here). It performed very well, and the Z&O won many games for me. However, you need to get a feel for when to play it, as it's very pricey.
Welcome! Glad you found us. I've been loving Jeskai recently. If you haven't seen it yet, I also just posted a _really_ fun version of Jeskai control that has a wild combo as the finisher. You might enjoy it. Also, what do you mean about Field? There are at least two in this deck. With all the creature lands around, I don't think I've played a deck without multiple Field in ages -- never leave home without 'em!
Yes! I feel like it's the card filtering that gets all the attention, but the lifegain is the secret MVP of that card. A few extra points of life here and there have saved me in countless games against aggressive decks that I would have lost otherwise (like in the game toward the end of this vid).
I don't mind the large text boxes too much, though maybe if they was slightly transparent so you could still read the text but also see through that might be nicer. Love the deck!
I've found transparency doesn't really help -- you can't see that much better, and it gets harder to read. Instead I try to time the boxes so they are never covering anything critical, and they aren't generally there for long. Thanks for the feedback though and let me know if you have any other thoughts.
Hello! In case you are curious, I took your suggestion and tried semi-transparent backgrounds, and I think it worked great. It's a good improvement. Thanks for the suggestion!
Maybe you could experiment with the position and transparency. Try right side instead of left? Because left side covers your graveyard, one time you discard from your hand, and you showed your thoughts and I couldn't see what you discarded.
Or maybe top, opponent's cards are not revealed anyway. Or middle horizontally, only covering a part of the creatures, still showing most board state. Also a bit smaller font size.

Love control, keep it up!
Thank you! Will do -- I can't play anything else! :)
Winning with life 1 is very impressive. fun and educational.
It's one of my favorite ways to win! I love games where you barely hold on by a thread and then come back to win. Thanks for the comment!
Just found your channel, im playing jeskai control a lot! but more counter spell oriented. Great deck but not using field of ruin is kinda weird

Celestus has won me so many games I had no business winning

i love u
huge text box over play area is super annoying
Sorry the format doesn't work for you, but thanks for the feedback.

FYI, I gave transparency a try, and I think it worked out really well. Thanks for the suggestion!
