I like that SDS is consistently trying to improve. They'll never please everyone, but the hitting changes last year and the options they're giving with modes and presentation improvements is nice.

I love the Achievements and milestone as a Franchise and Sim person. The new camera replays for highlights are awesome!
Tell you what, whatever that slow motion, button mashing control interface is, it’s the first setting being turned off for me lol.
It's more of a button sequence, throwing has been too easy for years in RTTS/Player Lock so it just adds some challenge I'm glad they didn't take away options for switch it as opposed to forcing it on us
Finally updated the UI for RTTS. The biggest issue with RTTS is the narrative storytelling falls off a cliff once you get to the Show

They just reverted RTTS, it used to have tye combine. They took it out , so this isn’t new

I think I'm just down on the franchise additions because i play all 162 games every season. Well watch. And the changes they added don't fix legacy issues. Maybe more players will play it now that it can be condensed. It just doesn't feel like hardcore players like me will get what we really want with franchise.
A lot of the changes we want on Franchise are big changes that would hopefully change how things operate from where we are now. The CPU hopefully will scout more than a handful of players and draft with some sense of urgency but a system such as training is still mysterious as to how it truly works.
Been playing RTTS lately since DD is dead for me and i've been enjoying it but my only grudge is that I don't talk to agents or people enough I only play and the new changes have made me excited for RTTS as a solid secondary mode to play
I'm wanting to see Atlanta Braves dim the lights with lighter's lit with tomahawk chop vocals in stadium while visiting team changes pitching
23 was my 1st time in the game and what gets me is rtts , I'm on my 3rd season in the majors, have won everything w videogame stats and I'm still stuck on my team making poop $... I wish I could upload my character to the new game... So much time invested just to poof gone
To add to the jerseys having ad patches, they also have post season patches for the playoffs. this year, which has been needed for a long time. You can see them in the Phillies vs Dodgers clip.

The only reason I played RTTS was to grind for DD. I think alot of ppl also did this. I could see the RTTS numbers dropping drastically. A few new cut scenes and some more dialogue?? Where's open world, spend the money you earn, have a reason to grind for a better contract etc. Try and get sponsorship deals so you can wear that merch when you play. Nope I guess nothing like that at all. I'm not gonna touch RTTS. The new dialogues is gonna get stale after few hours of playing.
At this rate getting an update on how the menu looks in sports games comes as a shocker.
How far we’ve regressed. Mlb the show and 2K were staying true to keeping sports games great but the money thirst is starting to happen.
What about custom uniforms?Is that will be these good old home/away?Or are we having the opportunity to ceate alternate uniforms?
They never stated there would be any changes though it would be great to have more jersey slots. I don't even like that the MLB teams are limiting to amount of jerseys they are going to be allowed to wear throughout the season.
For me it’s literally why grind road to the show if i can’t use my created player or why do DD if i can’t use my created player i guess this what everyone wanted tho hopefully I’ll be able to enjoy this game even with the amount of steps back they made for it

What struck me was, with the new game entry conditions what does that mean for the future of March to October? Surely MtO is on borrowed time?

Look this game is awesome every year and while I would love some huge upgrades they will for the most part enhance little things each year.something to keep us coming back and just like Madden every year.
Respectfully, I don't give a damn about any of the franchise "upgrades" this season. All I want is player/manager elections for arguing with umps on calls, maybe a rushing of the mound for a HBP, make check swing control simple with ONE light button tap, and expand the Single A team into a full 26 man roster and level that can be played/scouted/worked through the system.
If they can’t put it in a menu, Franchise ain’t getting it

In rtts will your teammates actually play well?
im in the vast minority but im so sad the CAP is gone. i actually used it like normal and not a basement dweller freak
I used it fairly normally myself. I'd always create a "real" fictional player from a movie, trying to be movie accurate in terms of positions, batting side, etc.
That said though, *very* glad it's gone. I'll gladly waive my right to use it in exchange for not having to face Big Daddy Johnson at 5'5 400 lbs throwing 103 from his hip only to drop off a 65 mph change-up out of nowhere 🤣
Created players needed to be removed from online play
This will make the RTTS experience better, since there will no longer need to be ANY concerns about balancing for ‘online’ purposes
And it’ll make Diamond Dynasty online better, since players won’t have to face garbage CAP pitchers with unnatural arm angles and deliveries intentionally designed to f*** up your timing
This is a ‘win’ for BOTH game modes

There is really nothing wrong with this game Mlb 23 is areally good baseball game and suffers because of it. I wish the would do more with field interactions but they havent done much with the fielding ie bryce harper diving over a barrier rto make a catch. They added new celebrations at least. Its really a good represention of the current sport but isnt a throwback. It lacks collisions. Video games in general used to more fun with their wonkyness.
Will I be able to face scan myself into the gave via app , I wanna live my game as a mlb player
I would assume they haven't changed that aspect, I'd like to be able to do that for any CAP even outside of RTTS

Zach Wheeler may want to go back to his old delivery after that pitch to Bo Bichette!!!! I'm very glad they've added some new hairstyles and improved the hair a bit. My CAP is known for his signature golden locks, so it'll be great to have them look even better. Sucks that I can't use my CAP in DIamond Dynasty. Why? I don't know, I never used him in Diamond Dynasty anyway, as I loved him way too much to subject him to my losing ways... but I did like having the option. That being said, it probably is for the best. I've played at least half a dozen teams called the "Buttsniffers". Probably a good idea to not get the female CAPs involved in that world. People would definitely make some problematic stuff.

I'm happy Diamond Dynasty mode is removed from Road to the show diamond dynasty completely ruined the road to the show game mode. The modes should have been kept separate all along hopefully they remove the caps from road to the show as well as well as the archetypes because they are trash

It seemed to me like it was the ratings for live series cards……. They FLOODED the game with high (90 plus) diamond cards which is……. Interesting
It’ll make the Live Series collection DISGUSTINGLY expensive and difficult to complete
On the other hand, it might mean that finally, live series cards may have serious competitive viability online in a way they didn’t at all last year, and barely did (only for the first month or two at most of the game cycle) in prior years
The ratings showed yesterday are all for offline gameplay. They are NOT the DD ratings
@kdjTV611 if I may humbly submit a slight correction for the sake of clarification, these are the regular roster ratings. They're not exclusive to offline, as online vs. exists with the real teams under these ratings.
DD rosters are separate, but I did just want to clarify for people that the regular rosters *are* used online, though that mode is likely more sparsely populated than DD.

Any commentary updates? The commentary became much more bland within these last 2 years than it did in the 5+ years Matty V, Dan & DeRosa. These are not improvements to franchise; these are things that should have been in. I can’t believe there’s still no international free agency. I can’t believe this. There’s not enough uproar about this. Why do you think they don’t even spend an hour on the damn mode.
They’ll say 1000 players; but I guarantee you it’s just the cover athlete (even a past cover player) and the few players who made the most noise (usually postseason heroes) including breakout noise. The models and body types will still be off. If they truly wanted to make the game much better, they would drop it off the next console.
The equipment still isn’t updated. We can get numbers on bands but not names on shin and elbow guards? They can definitely do this smh. This upsets me because I’ve played the game for 10 years.
No matter what tho, appreciate your channel always.
