Different Sansevieria Propogations-Starfish and Snake Plant

There are a few ways to propagate the good old fashioned snake plant. I also have a starfish plant too that could use a cutting. I could've just repotted it but its a free plant so why not? You can propagate through water and soil. The only prop i havn't done was the last one in the video. I've seen multiple people just stick the piece inside the soil directly so I decided to try it after i had to take off a piece. Enjoy!!!

I ended up just sticking it back into the soil next to the plant and it ended up growing another plant! So for me it did work just sticking it in… Now to propagate! Thanks again x

Im so excited. My coworker gave me a water propagated piece off her starfish and I'm ready to go home and plant it! I want to try different plants one day but for now, I'm sticking to succulents because their the only ones I don't kill

I subscribed the second I saw your channel name. For some reason gardening is the only thing I can find that shuts my bloody overactive mind off. Dirty hands like a mental soother.
Now I'll rewind this and try to absorb it in less than 3 attempts.

@@oldraventwo idle time is the devils playground. When im not busy my mind goes in overdrive. Got to have flowers! Any new flower varieties this year? I always do sunflowers as they bring me so much joy! Also maybe a new Hibiscus variety too
@The Adhd Gardener I just started my seeds last night. Red geraniums and mixed columbine. I also tried planting some gerbera daisies and two types of straw flower that I harvested seeds from last fall. Here's hoping I got that right. I have zinnias and delphinium yet to go in.
Currently I'm waiting for my 125 tulip bulbs to come up. Haha. I planted them in 6 big buckets. Cannot wait to see if that actually worked.

🤣 cactus mix was so damn hard to say for me🤣indoor greenhouse is doing good! It warmed up so I took out some plants and put them around the house. I have more space to buy more😆❤yey!! U have an indoor greenhouse wonderful!

The first month only one died. The other was alive still but no roots. 2nd month it was alive n no roots but it looked like it was not doin too good. I stipped after that cuz man thats too much waiting for me lol

I have so many plants to help with my mental health and decided to go on a leca adventure so I was looking for a specific leca sansevieria repot and found a relatable plant friend!!!
I just potted up another snake leaf that grew roots right into the leca and water. Have upcoming vids on those
And the starfish nah it never grew roots the one that snapped off but the starfish is still giving me plant babies😉🌻
i have 2 leaves that accidentally broke off like yours did, but i let them callous over. is that bad? how are your propagation doing?
the 2 leaves 1 of them didnt work and the other hasnt done anything but it hasnt died so I kept it. maybe itll need more time. the actual larger prop pieces are doing great

Arent those pots a little to small? Why didnt you just get a slightly larger pot?
Could you do a 6 month update on the starfishes? Have they survived? Did they get bigger?
Yes chances are ill do a vid on them. They are growing good. The only thing that didn't work was those small pieces I broke off n experimented with.
They kind of remind me of weed plant.. lol. Like a thick one. 😜😊

Just found you and like your energy, so I subscribed! Maybe you can help me. I just received a large starfish sensevieria from an online company, and the 4th digit was broken off! Can I propagate it? Can I paste it back on? (jk!🤪)

That little one that broke off in the vid didn't propagate tho I wonder if it's cuz I neglected the crap out of it 😆 try it out n call it an experiment!
Thanks for your reply. BTW- the rest of the plant was rotted off at the root within 10 days!! I contacted the company and got a refund! I did cut off the not rotten tips and am trying to prop them in soil. We’ll see!!

Sure can! All prop pieces are doing well except those 2 unexpected snapped end pieces. They didn't exactly die but they shriveled up a tad so those were a no go..the rest are great😁
