Azul has an almost big dog personality. Quietly confident, bold but not aggressive. He is obviously heavily socialized. He may be a bit aloof for a fox, but we'll see how he settles in.
Poor guy. After whatever happened, he was just looking for a new home. That lady was wonderful to call y'all. Now, let's hope this lady accepts him. He'll be a nice, mellow, buddy for Ruby.
I love how Azul would stop and check in with Ruby as part of his laps like, “How ‘bout now? No? Ok, I’ll check back in another minute”, keep trying buddy, she’ll come around! 😅
And she claims every area. It's like my Mom said about marriage. She said, "What is mine, is mine. And what is his is mine, too." It seems right to me.
Me either. But I'm glad there won't be any fox pups resulting from this marriage. Ruby is spayed and based on how long it took the Veterinarian to figure out Azul is a boy, he's probably neutered. Maybe if Ruby and Azul get along, they can be foster parents to some rescued fox pups or some jackal pups.
azul is such a chill fox. I recall mikalya was able to drag him out under the bed and hug him as soon as they meet and he totally ok with that. ruby or other fox would be wiggling their way out after few seconds.
It is beautiful how gently and gradually the foxes are introduced to each other. They aren't sure of each other, but I'm sure they will get there. Sweethearts.

@@LtRee96se I'm actually doing pretty good. And it is a tough combo of things to deal with. Thankfully, my parents are incredibly supportive and have gotten me the help I need to manage my AuDHD (Someone who has both Autism and ADHD) and Anxiety.
Here is hoping they can be friends. Ruby is displaying dominance and Azul is respecting it and just doing his own thing. She might not be to keen on sharing her space, but maybe she will warm up to him.

For anyone wondering any business that works with animals must have a quarantine zone or space for animals. Even if animals don’t show any signs of disease or illness when they arrive. Each quarantine timing is dependent on the species and where the animal is staying.
Oh yayyyy!!! I've been excited for this!! I hope they end up having a slow burn love (but a quick burn friendship!)!!! I honestly think Azul is chill enough that in time, it will end up being the perfect match. I know it won't be easy, especially if you worry for them like a mom! But you trust your instincts because they are never wrong and if this ends up working out, it'll be just magical! 🤞🏼💓💗❤️
I hope Ruby can feel comfortable and in charge, and end up being OK with Azul! There's a lot to be gained over solitary splendor. We had a similar situation when we rescued the 2nd of our current generation of cats. She chased our resident cat and clawed him. It was awful. But a year after chasing ended, we noticed they were always lying down near each other, in identical or mirror-image positions. Now they play gently, with paws waving while one is lying down. They occasionally lie down touching each other and seem to enjoy the feline company. Color us amazed.
so much nostalgia from when I was a kid in this video. Fairly certain I had that Star Wars shirt in the 70's and I acted a lot like Ruby when people came over to visit and was forced to meet them.
"Hey, this is my apartment!" says Ruby. Azul thinks for a while... "Maybe I should get some flowers..." Meanwhile, check out those blocks of wood! Those things would be stronger than some people's buildings.
I love Ruby's antics even though I'm aware they make her hard to pair with anyone :) Hopefully it goes well! Fingers crossed for Ruby and Azul (I also love how Azul is basically ignoring her :D )

My cat was just like Ruby. Only other cat she ever worked with was one that was completely unfaced by her warning signs. So I think this is a good sign. Haha. Only thing is that I think they'd need a bigger pen. I've always thought Rubys pen was way too small and that was already when it was just her in there. Maybe expanding it in some direction might be nice. It barely has any play space.
