  • This video is a recent rated match I had with the LV1 Geymalk on Gundam Battle Operation 2. The Geymalk is a 650 cost support with potentially insane damage output, multiple stun options and a high amount of HP. Its two major weaknesses are its lack of mobility and its huge size which makes it easy to shoot down. I thought that this match went pretty well despite there being a Char's Dijeh on the enemy team to harass me. I am a bit dubious on the overall viability of the Geymalk but its sheer damage output makes it really fun to play. I hope that you enjoy watching!
The primary weapon of the Geymalk are two hand beam guns with 350x8 power, 5.5 seconds cooldown, 80% heat, 17 seconds overheat, 1 seconds swap, 400m range and 1%x8 stagger value. Although the heat is relatively high, this fires a massive power 2800 damage piercing stun beam. It is possible to get a partial hit if you aren't careful with your aim but these are the optimal tool to use after a shot from your shoulder cannons.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam saber with 2600 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap and standard modifiers. Although the suit lacks balancers, it is actually relatively usable due to your two stuns allowing you the chance to approach and use the long ranged downswing.
Its first sub weapon are two shoulder beam cannons with 1500x2 power, 80% heat, 5.5 seconds cooldown, 17 seconds overheat, 1.5 seconds swap, 500m range and 10%x2 stagger value. Although they do not pierce like your primary weapon, these have a similarly massive 3000 total power and instantly stagger. The long swap time on these makes them the ideal combo starter.
Its second sub weapon is an all-fire attack with 800x12 power, 100% heat, 2.5 seconds focus, 20 seconds overheat, 1 second swap, 500m range and 5%x12 stagger value. This weapon is both stop to fire and charge but has an absolutely ludicrous 9600 piercing damage with instant stagger. This is easily the highest damage output you have on the Geymalk but using it can be difficult. It fires in a spread pattern which means most of the shots will miss at longer ranges so it is best used off of an allies downswing or if you can bait an enemy into rushing into you.
Its third sub weapon are arm grenade launchers with 350 power, 6 ammo, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap, 300m range and 35% stagger value. 2000 total ballistic damage is average for arm grenades but you have a relatively long 300m range along with 200% total stun value. These are basically your only MA break tool on Geymalk so use them wisely.
Its fourth sub weapon are side lock funnels with 250x6x2 power, 55%x2 heat, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 0.77 secondd swap, 300m range and 5%x6x2 stagger value. Although these have longer than average range for funnels, their damage is relatively quite low. These are still useful to use for basically free damage at the same time.
Its fifth sub weapon are follow funnels with 1000x2 power, 70% heat, 1 second cooldown, 22 seconds overheat, 1 second swap, 350m range and 20%x2 stagger value. Although these have high heat and don't stagger, their high damage makes them an ideal combo ender.
The Geymalk has 24000 HP, 25 ballistic defence, 29 beam defence and 6 melee defence. When it comes to ranged combat you are actually quite durable thanks to your high HP but even generals can fatally damage you in melee due to your low defence there. I think this is fine but it just means you need to use your staggers to keep enemies at a distance. You also lack any buffers outside of the 15% reduction back option buffer. Your survivability is further enhanced against shooting thanks to the LV1 Psycho Field skill. This activates at 30% HP and triples the time needed to lock onto you with weapons, reduces shooting damage taken by 40%, downgrades ranged instant stagger by one level and also offers resistance to accumulated stagger. You are nearly dead once this activates but it is still very useful to make the most out of your then low HP. You have LV1 Stabilization Device for stagger resist while crouching but you lack Damage Control so build stagger still stuns you.
You also have 105 hover speed, 190 boost speed, 60 thrust and 54 turning. This is awful mobility for a 650 cost support, especially considering you lack Forced Injectors as well. This means you should never really be engaging in close range combat.
Overall I think that the Geymalk actually has a lot of strong aspects. I think it is just held down a bit in a meta where threats such as Char's Dijeh, Jagd Doga GG and Delta Plus can shoot its huge body without much issue. I think a buff may be in order. I would grant it LV2 Damage Control so that it can more easily hunker down with its crouched stun resistance while also buffing the funnels to have 350x6x2 damage and 350m lock on range. Thanks for watching and I hope that you enjoyed it!

The Geymalk is a fun suit but you're right about Char's Dijeh just blowing a whole through it. Dealling around 8k+ damage with the strum fausts is absurd. Thankfully even at low health it's a very tanky suit thanks to the low health passive. Which is why I max out beam and ballistic resistance.

It feels hard to use the crouched stun resist as well when its so easy to be stunned out of it as well

Definitely a really fun suit due to the insane amount of firepower. I don't always do great with it but still one of my favourites

This was my first 650 support way back when. This thing was indomitable but now there are some fuckin terrifying raids running around. Still a nasty machine.

I love this suit! Glad to see you cover it! Also worth noting about this suit is its Full Power Tackle skill, which lets you heavy stagger on a tackle at 30% health. Nice if you can land it, since it catches people off guard, but whiffing it's a death sentence.

Ngl, I wasn't expecting to see so many melees from a geymalk, but hot damn is it a sight to behold. I do wish it had Shock Dampeners though or they had Psycho Field activate at 50% health instead of 30%.

50% HP Psycho Field is a really good idea

Hello. I have a request for a video.
Of course, only if it is possible.
You generally show good to great units, apart from the new ones from each banner.
How about going the other way?
How about units that are generally considered bad or subpar.
If that were the case, how about a video with the gun tank and the other transformable tank mb that I can nlt remember its name.
I know I am asking for too much, but I hope you could consider it.
    Greetings.

Hmm well I do play bad/subpar units sometimes. I did a video on the Qubeley recently and that is generally considered bad.

Would play this suit a lot more if it had better ways to survive and if I didn’t get gunned down every match I used it in

much as the malk is a chinky boi w more and more deltas showing up at high cost the more i favor suits w ballistic (and for unicorns)
i swear been getting alot of xamel gpo2 mlrs and fa7th in lately w very very good results
and some of my super at 700 occasionally (full enhanced and unlocked the dmg on it is stupid )
w how many people build for beam and use psycho frame or ifield suits i feel like ballistic supports or mixed dmg supports just do more at high cost (cept zssa thing needs a big buff dmg wise higher costs and for ground affinity its thruster gauge is bad)
i gotta upload some fa7 vids tomorrow
actually got 1st in an ace in space today
    and i wasnt ace 🤣
    i actually wanna see how u do w the fa7 at 650/700
(i need the 700 one still but have been using 650 for it forever so im used to its stats)
things got 3 beams 2 ballistic weps all build or charge stun good speed a shield and balancers also has good dmg vs bases
can get decent defense thrust and utility like reload charge speed or just more dmg and hp on it at those costs even without expansion
w how you play supports right w the main line im sure youd have some nasty results w it
